I don't think John's was a 'pity me' thing either - it was pretty empowering and a celebration that we've come so far. He was correct when he said that if people our age had two guys dancing on national TV back when we were kids, it would have helped and made us feel less alone.

I get it can be hard for some straight people to understand it, though, as they're not made to feel shame for their sexuality - it's just the norm.

I'd only get your point if Rose never mentioned or referenced being deaf, but that's not the case.

I think they are being judged on ability, though? But both of them have also referenced a part of them - which is fine.

But anyway, I'm gonna stop talking about it cause it gets me down a bit when people make into a tokenism thing and I wanna focus on the dancing instead. :D
