I thought Katya had hinted at getting a partner. I'd be really pissed if she didn't get one as the female pro lineup is just uninspiring. Wouldn't blame her if she quit after this year if she gets another dud either - what would be the point in staying on the show if she'll never have another chance at a final? I do feel like her talent has been kinda wasted on SCD and that's a shame IMO.

I agree, I know people find her enthusiasm a bit annoying but she's without a doubt the most interesting and creative choreographer. I hope to see her with somebody good who doesn't mind going a bit mad and taking risks. I'd rather watch Katya a thousand times over the play-it-safe pros who can't laugh at themselves.

I thought Neil was the choreographer in that team?
 
Speaking of Neil, someone who seems to have connections to the dance world believes he is benched again.

Would feel a bit sorry for him if true but I can't say I'm surprised, they don't seem to like letting people go but I was never really convinced that he was what they were looking for in a pro. Age may also be a factor, it never goes in anyone's favour except for Anton and they have hired 3 new young male pros.

Agree but I thought Neil choreographed for them as a couple and for her when he was benched. He choreographed for the group when he first joined

Anton and Craig (I think) are doing panto too and Shirley’s done it before, I think they do certain shows while Strictly is on and then do the rest.

Mind you, it’s a tough act for a Pro to do both I would think.

ETA I should really read all the posts before I chime in 🙄.

I had heard the rumour too that Neil did the choreography for Katya but I benched that idea (see what I did there!) as soon as I saw his routines with Alex. He does absolutely nothing for me and yeah she’s a bit loud and in your face but Katya has had more memorable routines than a lot of the pros. I won’t be sad if Neil doesn’t get a pro
 
Katya probably didn't have much external input when with Mike and though a couple of those routines were a bit naff, they were mostly out of the box like with past partners so I don't buy it. Maybe she and Neil collaborated but I think the crazy/inventive side of her definitely comes from her.

Neil was always hyped up by people in the dance world but some people's personality/style don't translate as well to TV.
 
I don’t know if anyone’s said this before and I know it’s not PC bit they’ve said themselves they want a family SO I do think the move for Jeanette to It takes Two from having a partner this year is a nod to her and Aliaz maybe trying for a baby and last night her lovely appearance at the NTAs made me

Yeah I think they will be. Might not be too long before we hear the pitter patter of tiny dance shoes!

I’m not sure about that as she’s doing Burn the Floor next summer. So maybe the following year.
