As always the DWTS lineup is far better than strictly. However I am still so happy with the strictly lineup, DWTS always gets more stars it’s always been the case.

I believe that’s in the same numbers - each week there are guests of the Producer - those are the ones seated to the left of Bruno’s old seat and they don’t know until the day how many tickets they’re keeping aside. There’s spaces for the families of the contestants opposite the judges table.

So when we went, the person first in the queue had been there since 1130 on the Friday night, we got there at about 4am and we were 27 and 28. Hundreds of people turned up between when we got there and at 9.30 when they open and give you a number.

Not everyone who gets the email is guaranteed a seat - the hassle we had getting there I would have been gutted if we didn’t get in, but it was a fantastic experience. The studio is quite small but the seats are crammed together.

That’s how it was in 2017 anyway.

I think this year is a bit better — they're allocating the 'correct' number. So fewer tickets, but there's no risk of not getting in if you're not in the queue early enough.

Tilly seemed nice on her intro video. Very normal!

That sounds much better. A lot of people when we were there had misread the email and were turning up at 9.30 in their finery thinking they were going into the studio. The woman who numbered the tickets said they had X amount of tickets available and judging by the length of the queue, it didn’t look like they’d all get in

100% the money.

She’s been quoted in the past (or rumoured to be quoted) that she’s said the fees aren’t worth it for how much work is involved. But also others spice girls have done DWTS rather than strictly.

DWTS is very very gimmicky imo there seems to be more theme weeks. The 2018 series had different themes almost every week. At least we only do three.

That 2018 season was the worst ever for them, a disaster from start to finish - ringers making early exits, a total duffer made the semi finals and then by far the weakest ever winner to boot. And just badly planned with too many theme nights as you mentioned.

This dance was absolute garbage yet he was a semi finalist:
