This gave me the fear everytime they did it. In the dance off I thought he was going to drop her.

Then he had the cheek to repeat it in his final dance too. As if we hadn’t seen it enough times alreadyThis gave me the fear everytime they did it. In the dance off I thought he was going to drop her.
I agree. I also found it weird that they did a couples dance to a song titled “On my own” and about unrequited love. It certainly did not feel like there was any sense of that in the dance. He really looked like he was struggling, didn't he? This lift should look effortless and pretty, not like somebody is trying to snap your neck and you're desperate to fling them off.
I also had a thought that it was a bit too pretty for the grittiness of Les Mis. I'm sure at the point Eponine sings this song, she is dressed as a boy and fighting in the revolution. Why didn't they make more of that?
Come on he's just a normal, down to earth northern lad whose sister gets butcher's meat discounts and he carries pennies in his undies.I agree. I find John's humour really dated.
Genuinely thought she was dead because of his carry on in the VT I had never heard of her before Saturday night (I'm not British and not a McFly super fan )I'm still very confused as to why he was crying and dedicating a dance to his very much alive and close sister because she once played someone in a musical.

The song choice was bad for a partner dance for exactly this reason, imo! It's a solo number, and the acting requires Amy to portray unrequited love and Tom to be the oblivious object of her affection. It's a much harder concept to portray that eg Kai and AJ's waltz in which you could basically pinpoint the scene they were supposed to be in and the part of the story they were acting out, or even Tilly's Couple's Choice in which the concept was 'we are revolting children and here to cause chaos together'.I agree. I agree. And praise be to the strictly powers for stitching Tom up with a rubbish theme I only watched in the dance off, skipped him in the main show, but thought it was a very odd choice of dance/theme. Surely more about Amy than him??The song choice was bad for a partner dance for exactly this reason, imo! Whaaaaaat??I love Dan simply because he gives Rose his votes every week despite being in the competition himself

Have we all turned into Dan fans now? We're so fickle Have to admit I did vote for Dan on Saturday, and that's something I never thought I'd do
