Indeed. I don’t really understand why people think they ‘pretend’ it’s live. They don’t.

When they say ‘last night’ that’s because the dance/incident they’re referencing was screened last night. ‘Last night’ is correct within the timeframe of when most viewers watched the live broadcast of the Saturday show and the point at which they’re watching the Sunday show.

Jools Holland doesn’t introduce the Hootnanny countdown by saying ‘it’s 3 weeks, 5 hours, 28 minutes and 10 seconds to midnight, as per the precise moment at which we filmed this show: ten, nine, eight … ‘ 😆

Then again, they have to add announcements to repeat screenings of shows with phone votes explaining that the phone lines are now closed, so perhaps lots of people do assume that if something is on their TV it has to be happening right at that very second.
 
They would lose A lot of viewers, I keep missing the start of the sunday show now they’ve shoved crappy dr who into the schedule. I find something else to watch/something else to do, and don’t retune. Whereas previously bbc1 was on and I was sat

He stayed for the filming of the Sunday show for around 3 series, then Claudia took over and he went home after the main show for a mug of cocoa and an early night.

Fair play to him. Who wants to be finishing work at 10pm on a Saturday night when they’re in their 80s? I can’t bear the thought at half that age!

Yes she's done a few ballroom dances or at least it seems like it, but when she does I'm mesmerised.
(I've always found that song dull)
(I also hate somewhere over the rainbow)
(I also dislike bridge over troubled water)
(And I really loathe this is me (greatest showman song)
(Just thought I'd share with use of brackets and I didn't use a thesaurus for my various adjectives😆)

Oh, I'm the complete opposite :D I just love a nice waltz, and I love the Sound of Music. I hope they lean into it and give us pure hollywood schmaltz

Replace Motsi with Erin Boag.

Let Ryan cut his teeth some more on ITT then get him upstairs to replace Claudia and the show would be amazing.

This would be amazing. I do appreciate the group dances, but they could definitely balance out the show by introducing more of this. They could use the musical guest on a Sunday to showcase dances, also - it doesn't all have to be contemporary.

Whole thing was joyous. I normally hate the overlaid video effects / "digital scenery" but in this dance along with the lighting, pyro and floor projections it all went together brilliantly. Only whoever was singing was a bit ropey. I thought the bit where she put her hands on his hips with her arms locked straight and he spun them both round and round was amazing. He loves a good spin doesn't he :ROFLMAO: . I haven't watched much of this series but I will be watching every week for the rest of it, these two are adorable and they should have just given them the glitterball then and there. I'm with Anton on this!

Agree with both of those. Love to see a bit more of Miss Whiplash again!

He gives me the ick.

Can't be doing with Miranda Hart either - and I record the show and start watching approx 20 minute in.
That way I can fast forward the boring bits. So I was able to zoom past her on Sat.


And now when there's a new thread, I have to avert my eyes and scroll really quickly past the first post to avoid him.

I’m not sure what the script is with Dan not working on sunday’s etc, so what will happen if he does the live tour and one of the dates falls on a sunday? Would he still perform or?

He probably won’t commit to it. I doubt bbc breakfast would let him miss over a month plus his routines haven’t been exactly memorable or good. You can be a weaker dancer but make something memorable like Ed Balls and gangnam style or the one with where he came down on a piano. I think if a weaker dancer is doing tour it will be Judi or Sara.
