Papers are doing this to AJ and Kai, and Adam and Katya, and now Rose and Gio. But you know that if they didn't interact at all the stories would all be about how there is a "feud" or a "frosty silence between the couples" or some such. They cannot win. Like, they're getting a lot of tabloid mileage out of "couples leave It Takes Two and/or the rehearsal room"

He certainly does seem to have been the common denominator in several rather fractious pairings.

Perhaps it was just a series of unfortunate coincidences, though 😉

That said, it’ll be interesting to see a) how he takes to being ‘instructed’ when he’s the amateur rather than the pro; b) how he takes criticism when he’s the target rather than his partner; and c) how his ego copes if he’s not as good as James Jordan was.

I've managed to completely avoid DOI the whole time it's been on - I really can't stand Phil and Holly , they set my teeth on edge.
 
I haven’t been around to pass judgment during the week,
But I feel it’s important I come on to post this….

janette is so bleeping irritating it makes me irrationally mad 😐

The only info I have is that my dad and stepmum went to the 2016 recording in Blackpool. They were one of the last ones in the queue to get in and they were sat really high up, in seats at the back of the ballroom. However it turned out that just behind them is where the dancers and contestants were, prior to going on to do their dances, so got the opportunity to speak to a few.

They said Brendan and Anton were really funny and chatty with them and Greg Rutherford was very nice too but he was so, so nervous.

Now, I know this is not going to be popular ...... but I can only repeat what they said, which was that Danny Mac was horrible - came across as very arrogant to them. Agreed he was a really good dancer but they wanted anyone to win but him, after that.

You’re right, she totally lacks the British sense of humour I think. She can’t help that I suppose…

It feels like a 30 min try hard comedy sketch, at least rylan can be serious when needed, and he’s good at holding interviews, he doesn’t make himself center stage, unfortunately she does. It’s exhausting

Well there are lots of Americans who have irony! Karen is funnier, I think. Janette is a high-energy Disney kid. She is just not relaxed and funny enough for me.
[ETA I'm also half-convinced she's a Trump supporter :cautious:]
