I see that the Mail - of course, no surprise - are really pushing the Giovanni/Rose story. I would normally roll my eyes at it but there is definitely a part of me that would love it to be true. I know its all about how you gain popularity etc etc -but they are v v sweet together !!! (I realise this has probably been done to death already - sorry, late to the party !!)

I don’t think she is going to give up her boyfriend of 7 years for a man that she is on a tv show with for a few months. That would definitely make me think twice about her character.

I would like to think Gio would be above manufacturing being smitten by his partner to clinch the glitterball, but I am not 100% sure!

I think the show is poorer for not having Tristan stick around longer.

Regarding the stage management, my cousin was at a live show during the Ann Widdecomb series. I think it was the Blackpool one and she said the floor managers were telling the crowd to applaud her like crazy. She also said the applause was recorded again because the first time wasn't impressive enough.
She refused to clap Widdecomb at all!

Oh and she also said Bruce needed big cue cards to aid him and, Tess was surprisingly good at keeping it flowing despite Bruce being visibly doddery.

Love the inside info.

Good on Jamelia for telling the truth.
They very much did that in 2017 too, the “warm up” guy was always at us to cheer and clap and make as much noise as possible…and then viewers moan that the audience are ruining it with their noise 😂.

There were a couple of re-recorded bits they did because the audience weren’t noisy enough. And all you get for your trouble is a Capri Sun and a wee packet of biscuits!

I love a musical but I refuse to see any involving Smug Ore or either of the believe-their-own-hype-idiot Cliftons. They can all bore off!
I have my tickets for Pretty Woman! #teamDannyMac
I'd prefer to see somebody who knows their craft and is actually a good actor rather thsn somebody dropped in a role as a 'name'. I mean Brad in rocky horror is hardly a taxing role but considering how theatres have been shafted over the last 12 months it feels like Ore is taking a role from a acting professional

Yes! and it drives me mad when actors put on reaaallllly bad accents! Like I'm sure there are loads of amazing geordie or scouse actors who could have played that part with a real accent but they just want a big name to completely butcher it! grrr

Anyone sick of Tom and his air guitar?
It's a paso doble for duck's sake

From memory, someone on DS had been in the audience that week and had already spilled the beans that there was some ‘restaging’ and additional filming after Peter Andre’s dance-off dance. The BBC explanation was that because Blackpool isn’t set up like a studio, there are sometimes ‘technical difficulties’ that require additional footage to be shot.

Peter Andre was the ‘big name’ signing that series, but he’d done a really crap jive with only 3 hours rehearsal, and Jamelia scored higher in the main show, so it all looked a bit fishy when they restaged and reshot the audience’s dance-off reaction (allegedly to make it look like he’d danced it better than he actually had).

I ❤ Jamelia for calling it out on ITT, though. I’d guess we don’t get to know even a tiny fraction of the manipulative shenanigans behind the scenes.
Jamelia was pretty tit though

They want to fill the theatres - all about the money

Did Curtis get dropped from DWTS ireland?

Yes he only danced the first two seasons there has been 4 seasons with none last year due to covid. . I don't know who's choice it was but his time on DWTS was dismal 1st out and 2nd out, he just didn't seem up to standard in comparison with the other dancers.

edit to add forgot he was suppose to be there for the 3rd series but due to the club attack couldn't take part Trent Whiddon took his place.

In fairness to Curtis (can't believe I'm defending him), he got an unknown model and then an older duffer so it's not like DWTS gave him a fair shot. They obviously won't bring him back now.

I know neither of them were great and his contestant for the 3rd series was out 4th, I feel it was more of not trusting him with anyone with potential.

Allegedly he is a good choreographer but I don't think we've ever seen enough to judge ourselves. I think they would have likely given him someone decent in his fourth year after what happened but he decided to leave the show instead. Unpopular opinion but I think he did the right thing. He got some pretty good gigs after Love Island and he's probably made more money and become a bigger name as reality star than he ever would had he stuck on DWTS. With AJ it's more debatable but he at least gets to do things all year long as opposed to just outside of Strictly season.
