Going back to the last thread, I bloody loved Tristan! He was so dry and didn't have any time for the fake Strictly-producer crap 😂
Fab dancer too.

I loved Kristina as a dancer and she seemed charming - and sexy! - on the show. She rather spoiled herself with the affair crap and shagging Vincent in a cupboard backstage 😭🤣

Aliona was sheer brilliance as was Natalie Lowe. I'm so glad Aliona was partnered with Harry.

Does anyone remember Monkseal's Erin Island? 😂

I had no idea Kristina and Ms Clifton commented on DS, how weird! I used to lurk on there all the time (going back many years) before I discovered Tattle 😁

Tristian and Jamelias leaving interview is one of my favourite ever Strictly moments, I love a good bit of chaotic energy. Needless to say I wasn't surprised when he didn't return the next year.

It was amazing! Tristan’s ‘naughty’ face just before Jamelia says her bit, because he knows what’s coming - love it! ❤️

I noticed on Saturday that Graziano was doing a nice job of ‘dancing down’ to make Judi look less leaden.

Kevin was always a nightmare for over-dancing.

That interview is one of my favourite Strictly moments - his face was a picture. Also, there was a bit where they played one of Jamelia's old videos, and he said something like 'was that you? I know that song, I didn't realise that was you'. This was after they'd worked together for weeks 😂. I loved how he'd completely checked out and didn't give a shite, yet was charming enough to get away with it 😆

Here is their last ITT. Tristan's face after Jamelia says (at 2 mins 5 secs) 'it was when they re-recorded Pete's standing ovation I knew we were going home'! And Zoe trying to brush past it desperately! Makes you wonder what else gets re-recorded..
Wikipedia tells me Tristan married an Australian actress and presents on Australian radio now. Shame, great dancer, and had an actual personality.

Also, loved how Zoe put a positive spin on things at the beginning by describing them as the 'most saved' couple, rather being repeatedly in the dance off

I think they do it to take the judges eyes off their partners, if the partners are maybe having slight problems in the steps.

From memory, someone on DS had been in the audience that week and had already spilled the beans that there was some ‘restaging’ and additional filming after Peter Andre’s dance-off dance. The BBC explanation was that because Blackpool isn’t set up like a studio, there are sometimes ‘technical difficulties’ that require additional footage to be shot.

Peter Andre was the ‘big name’ signing that series, but he’d done a really crap jive with only 3 hours rehearsal, and Jamelia scored higher in the main show, so it all looked a bit fishy when they restaged and reshot the audience’s dance-off reaction (allegedly to make it look like he’d danced it better than he actually had).

I ❤️ Jamelia for calling it out on ITT, though. I’d guess we don’t get to know even a tiny fraction of the manipulative shenanigans behind the scenes.

He is just sticking up for his partner like all the pros do. He isn’t taking himself too seriously and is laughing. I have seen other pros be way more aggressive towards the judges criticism.

I love Johannes and could never inflict Caroline on him again, you could see how beaten down he felt being paired with her and her massive tongue 🤮
 
I think the show is poorer for not having Tristan stick around longer.


Regarding the stage management, my cousin was at a live show during the Ann Widdecomb series. I think it was the Blackpool one and she said the floor managers were telling the crowd to applaud her like crazy. She also said the applause was recorded again because the first time wasn't impressive enough.
She refused to clap Widdecomb at all!

Oh and she also said Bruce needed big cue cards to aid him and, Tess was surprisingly good at keeping it flowing despite Bruce being visibly doddery.


Love the inside info.

Good on Jamelia for telling the truth.
