It was an average show.
The judges are bonkers with their inconsistencies. I hope Motsi and Shirley leave by next year. Thankfully Anton is a breath of fresh air.

Tess…. Dear God, where to start. Dismal, wooden and bland. Surely even she could change it up and say, they’re standing up, instead of on their feet, constantly ! Bring Rylan to the main show and dump Tess!

The Singers sound as though their being strangled.

I wasn’t mad for J&J. The Charleston was too slow and Johannes needs to stop out dancing John if they’re going to continue dancing side by side.

Rose and Giovanni were sublime.
Dan is improving weekly.

McFly fans stop voting for Tom!

Nadia is clearly in Vicki Giggles good books, she’s never had a bad costume.
The budget on the costumes look as though they’ve rummaged round in an old 80’s show box. Although Rose’s dress was beautiful.

and Johannes comment agree too!

Tom & Dan are my favourites. I actually think both are improving each week and don’t get the hate for Tom? I think him and Amy are absolutely flirting though and it’s so transparent.
Loved Anton as a dancer, but his judging just seems so odd! Some of his comments are great but he starts off on a tangent and then doesn’t finish it, seems lost in his own comments sometimes and it just comes off as awkward!
Craig gets too much of a hard time from the other judges, he’s honest and constructive. Shirley is the best though. Her knowledge for dancing is insane and her comments are always helpful and actually give the celebrities things to work on. We need her on the show otherwise it’s all “I love your personality and your determination” comments.

I actually loved the show last night, personally think the standard for dancing compared to other years has went up. There isn’t really any “joke” celebrity this year which is good, hate the celebrity that’s just there for the cheesy, funny aspect. Claudia is insufferable sometimes with her interviewing skills.

Entertaining show none the less and I actually admire that(most) of them pick up the dancing so quick, couldn’t be me😂.

Amy laps it up haha! Amy seems like a natural flirt. She’s always biting her nail in a seductive giggly *I'm innocent* way when she looks at Tom.
Giovanna is seething you can tell 😂. Her recent post about “our new mate” seemed so odd!! You’d naturally write Amy/her but the “new mate” was just awkward. I like Tom, but the whole “The Fletchers are couple goals” thing cringes me out so much. Amy was a huge McFly fan growing up so I’m sure she doesn’t mind the attention and she seems to flirt back. Gio has retaliated by posting post after post about Tom when she’s never done it before now. Or commenting “😍😍😍” all over his posts, again, she never did this before either.
I think she’s intimidated for sure.
 
I used to think it was totally one-sided on Tom's part but Amy is so giggly with him, and she used to be a McFly fan... I don't think anything will come of it but there's definitely chemistry! Think it probably happens a lot in Strictly where people in long-term relationships that might be a bit stale suddenly start spending time with someone new that they have great chemistry with, they're having all these adrenaline-fuelled experiences in such a short time... it might not be enough for a Strictly affair but could cause some real issues!

I always hated it when they switched it up but it does really expose the pros which makes it really interesting and glaringly obvious who has just lucked out with getting a good partner and which Pros are just great teachers and chorographers.
 
Tess does my head in. The comment to Craig about Ugo being a rugby player, never danced before etc. was so embarrassing! Did she actually think she was making an insightful contribution? She always seems to feel the need to comment on what the judges have said now, way more than she ever did before. Craig's response was brilliant 😂

I actually didn't see Ugo's dance because I couldn't take my eyes off Oti the whole time. She is an absolute goddess! No doubt I'll get another chance to see it in the dance off.

Shirley does my head in too. No one cares about your sordid love life :rolleyes: She just has no class. Again, Craig's response was brilliant.

John and Johannes' Charleston was disappointing. I don't get why the judges were raving about it. The choreo was bland.

AJ looked amazing but something was missing for me. Maybe what Craig said about it looking too choreographed. It also would have worked so much better to proper tango music.

Contestants like Rhys really annoy me. I find something a bit off about him anyway but the way he just doesn't seem to take the comments on board about being too frantic/spiky. As if energy and enthusiasm alone will see him through. Obviously he can move but it just shows a lack of musicality and an inability to understand the feel of a dance and differentiate one dance from another. See also, Karim, Peter Andre, Aston Merrygold and Tom as well to an extent, at least with this salsa. They just dance every dance like it's a pop music video. Also Rhys kept calling it a foxtrot- even in the VT I think? :unsure:

Tilly and Rose were the highlights for me and I'm loving the more technical VTs! 😊

Very much agree! In Rhys's slight defence a lot of American Smooths are foxtrot based.

Having watched a lot of Kai dances on youtube (and I mean a lot 😍) theres a DWTSIRL week where they partner swapped and danced with Brian Dowling- last year i think.
Amazing to see that ireland who a lot of us think as quite strict, catholic etc had 2 guys dancing together before UK did!
Plus Kai has been it 2 finals before over there so he's got a good record and is consistent.

Maybe they are fine, but it could also be them trying to control the narrative. If I was a young mum who had a young baby with a man who had been away at training a lot, away to the Olympics on the other side of the world and then he’s home for about a fortnight before committing himself to something that may last a few weeks or may last until Christmas, I wouldn’t be happy. I might tell myself (and other people) I wanted him to do it but I probably wouldn’t mean it.

Unless of course this is a pre-arranged PR stunt to catapult her to fame alongside him and if that is the case, I’m not sure they let Katya in on it. And that would be pretty crappy imo.

If it’s a recent photo and he’s been eliminated or gone home for the weekend then the people at Strictly have probably advised him to get some ‘happy family’ shots out there to put all the other stuff to bed once and for all. Or maybe Katya asked him to do it so she doesn’t get anymore hassle!

But there is a young baby involved and if they want to make a go of it then hopefully this is just a bump in the road and they’ll see out Strictly and spend some quality time together
