I wonder how memorable Adam will be if he has a waltz or a foxtrot next. So far he's had Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Quickstep and Argentine Tango. Lots of hard dances to be fair but also some high energy dances he can really show off his personality in. It's hard to throw a crotch grab or a pelvic thrust into a Viennese Waltz...although with Katya you'd never know!!

She seems the sort who’ll do anything to keep her man. Why would you desperately want to cling to someone who doesn’t want to be with you? I’ve never understood that?

I think that was just the TikTok she did (though I am clearly a million years old and don't get it). I have a bit of sympathy for her as SCD is clearly super weird for partners (look at Sophie E-B's book, though she and her husband had been together for years). But she also boasted that she had persuaded him to sign up for it, so yeah, if you can't handle him generating chemistry with a professional dancer, maybe don't do that!
 
Thoughts on last night...

Dan and Nadia - just... okay? I can see he's getting the older housewife/breakfast viewer vote and his little speech about his wife was very sweet. He's doing way better than I thought but I think his number will be up in the next few weeks.

Tom and Amy - used to be a massive McFly fan but just can't warm to him. What a pecker. He can do all the steps and he puts a lot of effort in but I just don't think he's a good dancer. Also worried that the fandom votes will keep him in way longer than he deserves to be.

Adam and Katya - not for me. Massively overmarked, costume was weird, didn't like the routine much.

Tilly and Nikita - lovely dance, but as someone else said, she can't stop looking to Nikita for reassurance whenever she has to speak, and it does make me wonder whether she has the maturity to handle the show properly. If you can't even get through a 3-minute post-dance interview without needing to make eye contact with your partner, maybe Strictly isn't right for you.

AJ and Kai - mmmmm YES! Tasty!! These two are shagging, I would put my house on it. I also quite like that she's a bit loud and brash and northern.

John and Johannes - what a let down! I really oversold this to my other half (watch, this will be REALLY good) and then it was just... meh? I kept expecting a tempo change or for things to kick up a gear and get really silly and fun but it never did.

Ugo and Oti - felt like Oti gave him a routine where he could do the absolute minimum while she just twirled about. Not complaining, I am obsessed with her, she looked stunning. But probably Ugos week to go, think he's reached his level.

Sara and Aljaz - am I the only one who saw them duck up?! It seemed like she made a huge howler right in the middle and Aljaz had to force her through a turn to get her back in time. Maybe I need to rewatch. I liked the routine, it was soft and romantic, but wardrobe need to stop doing Sara dirty.

Rose and Giovanni - I love them. The end.

Rhys and Nancy - think he might be in trouble, I dunno who will be voting for him. He's not well known enough to have fans outside of CBBC, he's not good enough to pick up votes from the people who just vote for who is the best dancer. He doesn't seem commanding when he dances, seems a bit all over the place.

Presenters and judges - Tess winds me up something rotten. Please get rid. I don't watch enough telly to know who might be a replacement but... please just go! I actually enjoyed Motsi's critiques this week more than previously but I think she and Anton really struggle with planning out what they're going to say beforehand. They end up winging their sentences and relying on clichés. Some of Craig's marking is mystifying but he's still the best judge. I don't wanna see 10s in week 5, I just don't. Craig keeps it levelheaded.

I love a Charleston: they’re often my favourite dances of the series and I love the fact that even some of the weaker dancers have more success with them: they always look like they have a ball and it often serves a confidence boost but I was disappointed in J&J’s last night: it was just a bit blah. Maybe it was the music? Maybe my expectations were just too high? But it won’t be one I ever watch again: here’s hoping for some steaminess next week!
Rhys just isn’t very interesting is he? I too forget about him ever week.
I was a huge McFly fan back in the day and loved it when Harry was on. My daughter also loved Tom’s Christmasaurus book and we went to see it live a few years back (she also loved his sister Carrie) but slowly I’ve become more and more disinterested in them and Tom just gives me the gip! I think someone above is right when they said he’s too over exposed? We see inside his and Giovanna’s ‘glass box’ every single second and it feels odd for him to on Strictly (attempting to be not smug). Seriously concerned bell get to the final due to his ‘insta’ connections like his Mrs stole the I’m a celeb victory 🙄

The good thing about this thread is that the spoilers are posted for those of us who want to know - but they are normally put behind spoilers. I’m aware of the rules and aware that by saying I’m not trying to moderate I am really but it’s not worth reporting actual posts so I hope nobody minds me politely asking that spoilers and in-line spoilers be used

Thank you I was figuring out how to do the same, my original post (which I clicked the spoiler button on but didn't work first time) was literally up for 1 second! Apologies to anyone who saw it, as soon as I realised it hadn't been hidden I removed it. @BDY_97 must have super fast reflexes!

Sara and Aljaz - I saw that too! It was towards the end? Like Sara sort of froze and and Aljaz had to guide her through a bit. I thought one of the judges would say something, but no

Yeah it's insecurity. From what I understand, she got pregnant quite soon into the relationship. He'd have been training full time for the Olympics after the baby was born in September 2020, and now doing Strictly pretty much full time... So I don't think they've had time to build their relationship, especially with a baby thrown into the mix.

She is also quite young and Katya is almost ten years older and successful in her own right so it'll be intimidating. His girlfriend seems a bit daft but I think a lot of that is insecurity and not feeling like your relationship is solid. However.. I would not be surprised if they split up in the next couple of months.
