Surprised we've not had much Eurovision contestants on Strictly. 4 of the most recent 5 Swedish representatives in Eurovision have done their version (and 3 of them won).

I would love to see some West End stars on the show. Lucie Jones has done X factor, (went out to JEDWARD!?!?) Eurovision, and West End shows. Or David Hunter who's another West End performer and has an incredible personality. (My dream partner for him would be Karen. They'd have the best time together) They were both in Waitress and are incredibly talented. It would be nice to see some more theatre stars represented on the show.

Tom Allen!

Please no - he was really annoying when he popped up on ITT this year.

Not going to lie that I'm just not that interested in seeing comedians on the show - the best comedy is always when it's from someone totally unexpected (e.g. Ed Balls). Susan, Seann & Bill have all been damp squibs for me personality wise and I can't remember much of their dances. Chris was fun but his dancing overrated.

Maybe a little off topic but I love finding out the answers to this question!

If you were on Strictly, what song would you love to dance to and what would that dance be?

I know a similar question was asked but I love hearing the answers!

omg i have sooooo many songs i'd beg to dance to:

sledgehammer - peter gabriel
sultans of swing - dire straits
rock n roll star - oasis
dancing shoes - arctic monkeys
love on the brain - rihanna
gimme gimme gimme - abba
stayin alive - bee gees
leave me lonely - ariana grande
grand piano - nicki minaj (listen to it before judging hahaha)
love again - dua lipa
everywhere - fleetwood mac
to live and let go - all time low
a 'friends' themed dance to the theme tune
summerboy - lady gaga
you know me - robbie williams
undercover of darkness - the strokes (it would be the best quickstep song ever)

i have visions of an argentine tango to the chain by fleetwood mac (the story telling would be amazing)
also thinking of a showdance to shiny happy people by rem where we keep transitioning from ballroom to a more fast paced, out of hold dance and then back into ballroom :D

I can only think Craig gave Maisie a 9 so Bill, Maisie and Hrvy all had 88 points.

It’s been a bloody hard year - I had a baby in lockdown and a close family member ended up in hospital for 2 months having caught covid whilst in hospital (thankfully now home!) Strictly has brought a smile to myself and cheered me up when things have been tough.

Really enjoyed the final and the series in general. I’ve never watched strictly before and even though I haven’t commented much on this thread, I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s comments. Hope everyone has as lovely a Christmas as is possible in the circumstances.
