Booking herself on the tour is probably a bit of a non story considering she’s done it every year but she does normally mark the Saturday off. Who knows what stage the world will be in at that point and whether she’ll be able to travel backwards and forwards like she usually did.

God i'm glad we've seen the back of AJ 😂

Whatever state the world is in, I would hire the most convincing actor in the world to ensure Bruno signs a few additions to his contract. Namely that if he 'falls' off his chair it is a safety risk to everyone in the world and he will be fined heavily. In fact, if he even gets off his chair it's a fine, multiplied by 10 every time he endangers someone with his arm gymnastics. To mitigate this, he can say 'the bull's bollocks' as many times as he wants. I liked that.

Ugh thinking about the paycheque he got from his uninspiring cameos annoys me way too much.

I'm a bit surprised they chose Motsi as a judge in the first place; they already had a Latin specialist in Shirley. They should have gone for a ballroom person.

I don't understand why Motsi doesn't make more technical comments, because she obviously understands the dances. I don't want to hear if they looked "fierce", I want to know if they danced well!

I mean I don’t even watch Hollyoaks, just the thought of seeing him in any trailers is sickening enough!
If his acting is anything like AJs it might be worth it. I've never seen hollyoaks but having seen an article about how bad it was furious spent time trying to find it 🤣

I do wonder if AJ or Curtis will throw their hat into the new judges seat!!!

Tbh when he was on strictly I thought AJ was alright. He was a bit lacking in personality and seemed to be quite typecast with getting younger women who were also a little lacking so only stood out because he was young and I guess some found him good looking. I thought he’d stay for a while and perhaps stand out a little more as the shows went on but it seems he decided he was too good for Strictly and that acting seems to be his true calling now. I think Curtis is completely behind all of this, he tried to make a name for himself off his brother’s back and now they’re both acting in hollyoaks. It must be a little embarrassing trying to present yourself as a celebrity and everyone still only really knowing you as the brother of a Strictly pro dancer.

I don't think Let's Dance is quite as big as Strictly but it's had 14 seasons so far and gets a 12 week run each year which suggests some degree of popularity. They also get roughly same calibre of celebs as we do. Not sure on how famous the regular on screen talent (judges & pros) are.

A German friend says it’s about the same as Strictly, the truly famous judges were famous before they went on - like Darcy and Alesha, compared to Shirley who was obviously famous in the dance world pre-strictly but I don’t think many people generally knew her. None of the pros have the same level of recognition as eg Anton or Oti here, but were varying levels of famous in the dance world. Motsi is apparently very popular there.

Speaking of Bruno, DWTS got picked up for it's 30th season yesterday (he'll be judging and Len is also back after not being able to do it last year). Quite impressive given that it's gone to sh*t in the last 10 and now has Tyra Banks to contend with for the foreseeable future.

Do we think SCD will get 30 seasons as well?

I think they’ll keep going and milk it for as long as can. As long as there’s D list celebs they’ll be a market for scd and celeb jungle. The issues arise when viewing figures drop significantly or there’s a reshuffle of funds within the bbc when new higher ups are in charge.

Probably right that there is a market for D Listers to take part. The BBC finances may be a factor in the not too distant future and could affect Strictly. I hope that the budget doesn't get decreased like with some of the other versions around the world that are produced on the cheap. I guess it's just a guessing game just now though.
