I’ve spent my Sunday night gap watching some classics and catching up on this years bloopers; I’m fascinated by the microphone recordings of when they’re dancing!

When a series ends it always strikes me how much a privilege it must be to be taught by these amazing pros and what an incredible experience it is to be a part of. I would kill to learn a Jive or Charleston.

I really hope Kevin doesn’t come back: he left and made that choice: own it Clifton!

I doubt that Kevin or the show will commit to him being in a full-time contract given the chance of shows being back by next fall (Strictly Ballroom clashes with SCD). I do think they may invite him back for a few ITT gigs or maybe the Christmas special, just to "top up" his TV appearances and money.

Since this year’s finalists don’t have the live tour to continue their Strictly experience, I hope the tour producers invite them to participate in 2022 alongside the 2021 finalists. I doubt Bill and Maisie would be available due to their schedules but I could see Jamie and HRVY loving the chance to dance again, even if it is a year later.

I saw Mathew Flints video of when Bill Won, Ranvir and Giovanni look perfectly happy in each others company. All smiles and a long cuddle compared to everyone else who were cheering on and claping seperately.
I would believe their own actions over Popbitch!

Can someone please enlighten me as to why you all seem to dislike Kevin Clifton so much ? I only started watching Strictly a couple of years ago. He's no oil painting , I get that, but what has he done ?
I remember thinking he was quite cute back in the day (I like glasses).

I'm not even sure why I dislike him. I think there's a smugness. He nearly always (unfairly) gets very good partners (look at Anton's FFS). I get the feeling he's been a catalyst in at least two celebrity breakups. Hasn't he been married about 3 times already and he's not even 40? Another red flag. I didn't like the way he stepped into Neil's shoes with Alex. I'm surprised he didn't put Neil out of the running to give himself another crack at the glitterball that year. I don't know, I suppose I just don't get the impression he's a nice guy 🤷🏼‍♀️ It's more insidious than the likes of James or Brendan who were just a bit fiery.

So now the series is over got some questions for you in regards to next year.

1) Would you like to see ALL pro dances prerecorded in advance like this year (not necessarily with pro isolating if not required but obviously if they need to so be it) allowing the pro more time with the celeb without having to miss time for a pro rehearsal.

2) No Clauditorium in its old form but pros and celebs seated at the side with the tables again.

3) Smaller more intimate audiences (perhaps more audiences made up front line workers etc)

4) Separate judges desks

5) Anton taking a step back to judge or removing himself from group dances completely.

Feel free to add any others I’ve potentially missed but my own answers would be.

1) Yes to totally prerecorded pro dances. I think it worked really well this year with some more interesting choreography and themes.

2) I really like the tables and haven’t really missed the messing about during Claudias links and chats.

3) Torn with this on the one hand I can’t begin to imagine how distracting the audiences can be sometimes cheering and clapping out of time. If I’m being honest can’t say I’ve missed the audiences so perhaps a smaller audience is a nice balance.

4) Doesn’t make that much difference to me either way.

5) Give him Bruno’s spot! Not sure who would end up with all the Jackies they sign on but Antons getting far too out of place in most of the group numbers.

1. This one doesn’t bother me at all, either way
2. This new clauditorium worked fine. So much of the show I feel is stale, this added a fresh element.
3. To start I was delighted there was no audience as they clap off beat and can be distracting. But as the series went on it felt empty. When I watched old series’ back yesterday having the audience definitely made it more of a show and event.
4.Don’t mind separate judges desks, it looked ok
5. Definitely making Anton judge. Getting rid of Bruno. 4 judges are needed as marking out of 40 is better. Motsi and Bruno together are manic.

My others would be
-Freshen up the band and definitely get new singers
-Bring the whole show back to Saturday night
-Some new pro’s
- A few better known faces. The last couple of years the stars haven’t been that starry. This year in particular I had to look them up (maybe my age)
- Tess could do with a co star on the floor. She’s very basic with her vocabulary and can be an ice queen. Bring in a warmer male co presenter. Keep Claudia at what she does best.

Aren't they struggling to get people to do it now because of the strictly curse? Or do we think that's bullshit. I'm one of the few that would knock it back tbh. I wouldn't want to put myself through the embarrassment 🙃 my coordination is bloody awful

What pros would people want to see go and stay?

If COVID wasn't a factor and I could switch it up to my hearts content - I'd keep Oti, Johannes, Gorka, Giovanni, Dianne, Katya - 2 champions and I feel that many of them still have more to give, all are good dancers & personalities. Karen, Nadiya, Aljaž & Nancy are maybes. We've just not seen enough of Nancy, Nadiya is a great dancer but too reserved, Karen is fun but I don't her choreo is usually good enough to pull out a win and Aljaž's best days seem behind him.

Anton to the judges panel.

Time for Janette to leave on a high. Amy, Neil, Graziano & Luba all to go - I just don't really like the former two whilst the latter two are weak at ballroom and haven't done good choreo (Vick's Cha Cha & Jason's American Smooth are among the two worst routines I've seen choreographically).

I really can’t see Janette leaving. I can’t see any of the pros leaving this year really unless they are pushed as chances are they won’t have any other work going on due to covid. If things improve throughout next year I could see Janette leaving at the end of the next series, then again I say that every year and she’s always back 😂

I think it's about a 50/50 chance for her next year but I'd be shocked if she was in for 2022. Pros never do more than 10 series anyway (Brendan & Anton excepted).

There will probably be work next autumn but I do agree that they would likely rather have a guaranteed gig on SCD in case anything happens.

Agreed. I think any of the pros that may have considered leaving this year would want to experience one more normal series of with hopefully no restrictions so I can see them all sticking around

I saw an interesting comment (to my shame) in the Daily Mail under the Kevin Clifton article about the possibility of him coming back (I bleeping hope not) that the pros that did this year should automatically be given the choice to come back next year as a thank you for the sacrifices they made this year isolating etc.
