She’d sacrifice that fiancé in a heartbeat if she thought it would get her the win
The cynic in me questioned whether having 2 popular strictly dancers as bridesmaids helped land that hello deal. I certainly didn't see Amy posting anything in support when Dianne was getting non stop hateful abuse and death threats earlier in the series. But I suppose she couldn't because they were competitors

She actually turned down Strictly at first so that she could do the British Championships with Ben, her fiancé and dance partner, because she said it wouldn’t be fair on him after all the work he’d put in too. The show asked her again the next year when she had won.

Honestly some people just need to sit and read Bills latest book (I just finished and highly recommend) the mans fairly outdoorsy and likes walking and paddle boarding amongst other things. He’s hardly an idle man. He’d also only a few years younger than shirls so she stfu with the age nonsense.

Blimey, did anyone else see Ranvir wink at Gio on ITT? Steamy!

Back to Bill, he’s the same flipping age as Keane Reeves! Whenever Keane does something fancy people aren’t all ‘oooh well done you old gimmer. You’re such an inspiration to all the older gents out there.’

Tom Criuse is the same age a Wilfrid Brambell, when he was the father in Steptoe & Son......

Yes please!!! Can someone please inject a bit of spice and a bit of flavour into the pro line up next year for the love of god. I really do like the current line up, I mean they all seem very nice and polite and good at their jobs but I miss the pro era of Aliona,Ola,Kristina,Natalie,Artem,James,Vincent,
Flavia etc. They all just seemed to have a bit of something about them that seems to be missing from the current crop.
Charisma is what's missing. Zero personality. They're just like grinning carboard cut outs. Remember the old days when brendan would get cocky with the judges and vincent would bury his head in flavias crotch much to the disgust of len

This is quite true.
There are some whose name I can't even remember.
The blonde girl - beautiful dancer. No idea what her name is. Speaks volumes.
And the guy with the Spaniel-ears hair.
Competed but is now back on the spare bench.
Lovely bloke, but - I've forgotten his name.
Again, speaks volumes.

Whereas those with a bit of snarkiness like Brendan, James Jordan and Aliona really made you take notice because they had something about them that either made you love 'em or hate 'em

Didn't matter which, because either way they put meat on the bones of the show.

I miss them and I miss Darren and Lilia, Kristina, Vincent and most of all Flavia.

I did used to like Ian Waite but when Zoe started doing It Takes Two and they started slorming all over each other every week, I went off him - and her.
Don't watch it any more.

Too much squealing and going OTT like on a kids telly show. No Thanks.

I also enjoy the main show more when I don't know what music or costume is in store.

Someone said about ITT on Digital Spy that it was kinda North Korean, all very forced happiness.

Sounds funny but it's kinda true - the whole show feels contrived, half of the pros are very hyperactive and act like children on haribos. I wonder if it's just the personalities they have in the lineup or if the show wants them to act like that.

I love SCD but it's became obvious in recent years that they want it to appeal to kids. BC & JJ didn't toe the party line hence why both got the boot. Aliona also nearly got the boot until Natalie got injured in 2013 and then was allowed back in.

Listened to the strictly podcast this morning and Dianne was talking about her career and totally summed up the problem with Amy. She explained that growing up competing, it was all about winning at all costs to be number one and that when she moved across to burn the floor, it took her a while to realise what she loved was making people enjoy the performance instead of being the best and winning. You can tell this as she seems to be one of the few pros who's partners enjoy being on the show even if they're rubbish at dancing.

And this is the problem with Amy. She's only ever competed so for her and her mentality its about winning and nothing else. What the audience or her partner feels doesn't count.

I also think Erin Boage had something about her and wouldn’t take any rubbish or be down for fake hyperactivity!

Ooosh I think Amy is competitive then I remember Aliona! The way she treated Tony Jacklin and Gregg Wallace was pretty appalling

Tony Jacklin & Aliona got on well - they became friends on the show. She was fairly chilled out with him as opposed to going over the top at getting him as a partner but was very respectful.

Admittedly she was very cold with Gregg but he was creepy. I'd have felt weirded out dancing with him and I'm not even his preferred gender.
