I absolutely adore waitress and have wanted it on the show for a while, but I cannot stand Giovanni so I'm trying to block it out 😂

Tough this week, a lot of good dances...but I am here for Bill’s Argentine Tango!

I don’t get the fuss about him either tbh. And I’m being a bit of a bore but if they get through this week, they need to get a Latin dance or I really will think someone is fast tracking them to the final! She’s a beautiful ballroom dancer but fair’s fair

I love Gio (totally shallow when I say it's mostly because I find him an absolute HUNK) but all the rumours with him and Ranvir are getting annoying now, and for them to be doing a Viennese Waltz to a song like She Used To Be Mine is going to be so smoozy and 'romantic' and then Shirley is going to be wetting herself harping on about the 'chemistry' blah blahhh, they had a very similar dance last week, where are the latin dances for Ranvir?

Also (sorry on a roll) I can't remember a series where there have been so many of the same dances each week? Considering there aren't that many couples left, for Maisie and Jamie to both be doing a jive when there are plenty of other dances to go around, why no Rumba? Why no couples choice theatre?
There has been no Latin full stop. Its like the contestants have filled in what they don't want to do

I am really excited to see the dances to these songs. I think there will be a lot of good dances! However I’m worried about the singing 🙈
But I agree, I feel like we are seeing a lot of the same dances and there doesn’t feel the same variety as there usually is - no rumbas at all, and I feel there hasn’t been many pasos, pure foxtrot etc.

Yeah, guessing most pros/contestants have tried to argue their way out of a rumba. As so many of us have said many times, I wish they would have scrapped couple's choice this series as it would have forced a bit more diversity in choice of style.

I don't hate couples choice but the street and contemporary dances are all merging into one, HRVY's routine last week was like a million other contemporary routines that have been done before and I really didn't see what all the fuss was about. I feel like for musicals week at least one couple would have chosen the theatre genre, the routine that Faye and Gio did for Halloween a few series back was amazing and I'd love to see something like that again 🤷‍♀️

I also think they're so hard to judge. Like personally, I think all of the couple's choices routines bar Caroline's have looked flawless and been packed full of content but I'm obviously not an expert. I really dislike the contemporary ones though so I'm disappointed Harvey was the first to get a perfect score this year. I didn't see any of the emotion that the judges saw :/

Yes agreed, he hardly has had a rough life or a struggle to overcome so I found the whole thing a bit insincere. And you're right, it's a lot easier to do the contemporary dances which are more free for all and interpretive than something with strict technique/steps that the judges are looking for, also if there is sob story behind the couples choice routine that also doesn't help the judging.

Anyone else frustrated that this series is going by so quickly and is too short for celebs to have the time to improve and try various different styles? All of the celebs remaining are going into the quarter final and have only done 6 dances, and most have done a Couple's Choice as one of them. Only 3 more styles left for them to learn at most.

There wasn't much they could do to help it this year and I am glad they had a show in the current world but I hope they never do a 9 week series again.

Urgh...I hate contemporary dances. It's just flinging yourself around & looking forlorn. Not really dancing in my opinion 🤷‍♀️

Why didn't I spot this weird moment on Saturday 😱
