Amy always reminded me of someone and I could never think who, until you said Katherine Jenkins that time! JJ gets on my nerves too because he always seems so "earnest" and yet it doesn't seem genuine.
I just feel like he's not enjoying the experience and sees it as a job to endure. I know they all do it to raise their profile and it is a "job" obviously, but I think you can tell when they're genuinely enjoying it.
Maybe it's not enjoyable for him because he's in a lot of pain from his injuries, and I feel sorry for that but I just can't warm to him at all.

Who would you guys like to see on next year? I'd love Iain Stirling, Peter Crouch, Gordon Ramsay, Jade from Little Mix, Chris Stark, Marvin Humes and Dermot o'Leary!
 
I’m new to strictly this year, what happened with Amy and Danny John Jules? I remember seeing something in the news that he’d been seen shouting at her and her crying but not sure when/what/why? 😂
 
We'll never know the truth - but Danny was accused of shouting and swearing at her during training.
She came out of it as sweetness and light.

He refused to appear on It Takes Two after it all kicked off.
She appeared on her own and it was clearly damage limitation to save her face and keep her job.

He was accused of being unprofessional by not turning up to do that show.

In my opinion he knew full well if he had he appeared on ITT and spoken about it, his words would have been twisted/taken out of context etc and he couldnt win in that situation. He'd be painted the bad guy no matter what.
And he was already painted bad giuy anyway.
So, being the seasoned professional that he is, he decided to say nothing.
Cant twist words if he doesnt comment.

He took the flak.

She fooled a lot of people, but a lot of others saw through her.

When I look at her, I see an entitled and endulged Princess.
Beautiful looking young woman but is she beautiful inside?

I think not.

And if Danny DID shout and swear at her, I think he was probably reacting to being spoken to without respect and was responding to provocation.

I am constantly impressed by everyone's ability to remember past dances and pairings.
I have difficulty sometimes remembering them in the current series let alone those from years ago !!


Also the 2 dancers on the Sunday show and the spare Pros - how does everyone know who they are?
Are the dance shows from other countries shown on telly somewhere?

I don't have sky - so are they shown on that and this is why I don't know about them?

I kind of took it at face value at the time - it didn’t seem to be beyond the realms of possibility that he could be a pain in the ass. But when he came out earlier this year and said that for two weeks Amy was injured and he had to practice with a stand-in dancer but they would wheel Amy out to do the Saturday night dances (even though she was injured 🤷🏻‍♀️). That’s happened before, most recently Kevin standing in for Neil with Alex Scott for a couple of weeks so why was it different for Amy and Danny? Maybe Amy didn’t like the thought of someone else getting on better with Danny and being more popular?

But even last year I noticed something different about her. I get they’re competitive and it is fantastic to be confident but there was just....something.
 
I take it back about JJ being uncomfortable and just going along with it.

I think that's a bit harsh. I'm not really a fan of hers, I agree with a previous posters Katherine Jenkins comparison but, if he did shout and swear at her, then that's completely out of order. She could never be blamed for 'making him do it'.

I didnt know she was injured. Or if I did, I have forgotten.

I know he has back problems.
You could see it when he danced.
It limited him.
My guess was that she was losing her temper with him because he wasnt coming up to the standard she was expecting from a celeb with dance experience.

And my other guess about Amy is maybe the reason she's been given a celeb with a disabilty is to "prove" to us all that she can be empathethic and compassionate towards a partner with physical limitations due to injury.

All a continuation of the damage limitation.

The reports were that they had a heated argument and she stormed out of the training room.

They story was that BOTH shouted and swore and both were upset.

But it then became one sided and he took the flak.

Or maybe i've got it wrong and she's learned from the Danny John Jules thing and is managing her temper.
We'll never know what actually happened there.






Re the comparisons to Katherine Jenkins - I don't get it. Is KJ known to be not very nice?
Or is the comparison between her and Amy because of their looks and that they are both Welsh?
