guysss will byer has suffered enough without johnathan dying into the bargainšŸ˜†.

I figure there's 4 people who are truly safe. Jonathan, will, El and mike.

Will because he's been through too much for them to kill him off and Jonathan because Will's been through too much (Hmm add Joyce in there too) and El and Mike for the same reasons. El they won't kill off when she's basically the main heroine and Mike because there's no way they'll have him die when he means so much to her.

Put them in danger a few times, sure, maybe even pull a Hopper but not completely.

I'm worried about Max (the vol 2 trailer doesn't look good for her) and Steve (Joe Keery CUT HIS HAIR)

I'm a bit of a romantic though so I'm really hoping the last scene is all the originals together just at peace and having a good life.

I say this all the time, Any cast member can die, even El or Hopper, Mike or Will I really do not care, but if those Duffer brothers do anything to Steve Netflix will be cancelled and I will NOT watch S5

Perhaps this would be better on the unpopular opinion thread but I just... don't get the Steve hype.

He was great in season 2 but has been pretty boring since. He's the stand in for the viewer that gets everything explained to him. Dustin is right on the money when he tells Steve he's not a child. He's a big man-child.

Itā€™s Steve arc in the show. He was a douche in the first season, he was the jock, the man of the schoolā€¦all the girls wanted him etc but since then heā€™s been on this journey, yeh heā€™s not the cleverest but he protects and he genuinely cares for those kidsā€¦

Yeah, I know and I don't mind Steve, I just kinda want better for him. I'd love for him to find a girl who worships the ground he walks on, someone who is maybe a little bit too serious so he can bring them some light-heartness and who maybe brings out a more serious side of Steve.

This season we've just had him still lovesick over Nancy (I don't like them together) and bitching that he's "always the damn babysitter" The coolest thing he did was find the gate and kill a bat and really that was a group effort, they all killed a bat and it was really only there to get Eddie to talk to him and them to semi-bond over Dustin and become friends.

I just want a bit more character development this season. Yeah, he has great hair... and....??

#shrugs just my opinion.

I think we will get that season 5. Him and Nancy donā€™t belong together. Does everyone forget what Nancy did to him?

they will close off Steveā€™s story well I think.

I hope he ends up becoming a policeman like Hopper. Heā€™d be amazing.
Oooh I can see this! He'd be great!

I feel like the whole Nancy/Steve thing is probably what would have happened had the whole upside down thing never entered their lives. They would have ended up together and been fine and even content maybe.

But it did happen and rapidly pulled them onto very different life paths and now they just don't work.

I know people find Jonathan boring but I always liked his stubborn streak, and his freak out to Argyle about Nancy and them getting divorced and his kids hating him felt very real to me.

i love Jonathan heā€™s easily one of my favourite characters, people forget he was heavily involved in S1 and S2 because of Will and the little flashbacks of how he protected will from their fighting parents, I donā€™t get the hate for himā€¦yes his storyline isnā€™t strong this season but there isnā€™t any need. Will is ok(ish) he is worried about Nancy and what collage you go to.

Iā€™ve never really been a fan of Jonathan tbh. šŸ˜¶

I think I probably appreciated him more in the earlier seasons but the predictable Nancy/Jonathan pairing put me off. Iā€™m also not a big fan of Nancy either and if Steve (or Eddie) dies to save her I will be fuming.

I really donā€™t think she will die - Nancy gives me Final Girl vibes (see ā€œA Nightmare on Elm Streetā€).

I liked Nancy a lot in seasons 1 and 2 but not so much in season 3. Season 4 Nancy is just annoying. I wish she was a little less.... uptight. I can see her going on to be an investigative journalist though. Something independent and dangerous and I kinda love her for that.

Was anyone else mildly annoyed that it's only NOW that all the parents seem concerned about where their children have been for hours/days?

oh god yes! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ those parents didnā€™t care at first where their kids were. Like Erica disappeared for days when she was with Dustin and Steve and no concern was raised

I started to laugh about the parents now having concerns about their children. Itā€™s like they just forgot they have children for the first three seasons šŸ˜‚

Yes!! Like, okay I can understand season 1 and to be fair to Karen, she did TRY. But the rest of it.... like Barb gets exposed to dangerous chemicals and dies and Will is clearly going through whatever happened and Mike is clearly depressed and grieving and they're disappearing all the time and nobody even questions why they all seem a little too friendly with the police chief? Heaps of people died in a mall fire and these kids are still allowed to just.... disappear? Mike suddenly has a girlfriend that can't speak English very well and is living with Hopper and neither Karen or Ted think she looks suspiciously like the bald dangerous girl the GOVERNMENT was warning them about just a year before?

I mean... you're telling me that none of these parents have talked to the others and it's come out that "no, they weren't at my house that night?" Come on!
