Stay Close - Netflix

I've just finished it and have to say that I loved it! I worked out who did it but didn't see the second twist coming, left open for a second series maybe?
Most of the best characters are dead though so dunno if it would work.

A few questions I have though is who is Rudy? Did I miss him being mentioned previously? And what was the red thing on the pictures?

Utter sh!te. Couldn’t warm to Cassie or her daughter. The only character I didn’t completely detest was the woman who was James Nesbitt’s partner/ex?

It was better than The Woods which I quit after 1.5 episodes (that I hated every second of) and Safe. I won’t be watching any more of them. The Stranger was the best of a bad bunch but even then it was pretty crap. They could have been so much better.

finished it this weekend and feeling quite underwhelmed
i guessed the killer mid way through but i don't feel special at all because a lot of people guessed it 😄
and i can imagine that totally because it just made sense for
lorraine
to be the killer
usually when i guess a killer my bf tells me nah no way but this time he said he agrees and that's how i know it was too obvious

This was the luggage trolley she used to carry the bodies to the hole
Rudy though 🤷‍♀️ what was the point of all that build up to be mentioned for 2 minutes
This was my thought! I get the lead up to the reveal, but I feel like this was a loose end.
Has anyone read the book? I'm tempted to get it.

yeah I thought that about a second series too

Finished it and liked it until the last episode where it just felt a bit like they wanted it wrapped up all of a sudden.

lots of plot holes or annoying things I didn’t want to let go. If you’re running away and changing your identity why stay in the same town?

also
did the police find the girl’s body who the dancing couple killed? It was like the show forgot about her. Surely she didn’t turn up for work and Lorraine would have been looking for her?

wasn’t she leaving for university I got the impression she was leaving which was why she told the story as she wouldn’t be coming back going to better herself at uni and be a nurse? She didn’t deserve to die 😩

I thought it was great, enjoyed the stage school duo but the locations did annoy me a bit as they didn't add up or seem connected.

I didn't guess it as I've stopped trying to do that. It's often so easy to figure out who's the killer if you think about it, I'd rather be surprised. The Carlton twist was great to finish on, but the character didn't seem thick enough to believe it would be easy to get out of.

Lots of plot holes but the most annoying to me was how easy it was for Ken and Barbie to sneak into brand new police station while on wanted lists, find the right room and sneak back out all unnoticed.

Feel a bit cheated that we didn't see ken being killed.

So I'm confused at the ending... I get that Dave said he was helping Kayleigh but then what Kayleigh said made that a lie so what happened?

as Dave pushed the car into the river, you can hear Carlton shouting…. So did Dave know he was in there? How did he not hear him?
Plus if he was awake wouldn’t he have got out then since Kayleigh thought he’d be able to? Then again car boots aren’t really designed for opening from the inside.
I quite liked the show. It’s not the best thing I’ve ever watched but it was enjoyable. I even liked the Ken and Barbie killers. Some parts were a bit unbelievable though.
