I adored skins seasons 1 and 2... They were so iconic! I was 15/16 at the time so it helped it feel more real.

As I got older though, it looked more and more silly and immature, I could tolerate season 3 and 4 but didn't really enjoy them, and when I was at uni for 5 and 6 I didn't give it a second thought.

Thought sid and Chris were very well written and relatable, every friend group at school has characters similar. Tony as well managed to be relatable. The girls in the first few seasons were written quite poorly... Michelle and jal didn't really have any charm, cassie was too much, and effy was unrealistic. Although the casting of kaya sch-doodah was perfect, she nailed the character and effy became every teenage girls idol for several years haha. Thought Cook was well done as well actually, he was the only think that made the middle reincarnation tolerable

Characters I hated? Pandora. I hear her saying surf and turf in my head and want to cry. Also hated JJ, thought Emily finch was a dweeb (quite liked Katie by the end), naomi was too woke for her time.

Pandora really got on my nerves! At least she wasn't as prominent in the 4th series. That gif also reminded me how I didn't like Sketch either :ROFLMAO: That just reminded me, wasn't Pure pretty much a gender reversed version of the Sketch/Maxxie storyline?
 
Loved this series but I was 16 and just starting college when it came out so it felt quite relatable! I feel like I don’t remember anything aside from season 1/2 though.. maybe I’ll try watch it again - I’m sure I’ll have a different opinion now though 😂
 
I was a teen when it was on, I think around 14 when it first started and I absolutely LOVED it can remember raving to my friends about it 😂 was so invested in it. I think I only watched the first 4 seasons maybe as I don’t remember after that? Re watched it as an adult a bit ago and realised how cringe it was 🙈
 
Ahhh I’m living for this thread! LOVE Skins 😍 just rewatched S1. Love love love Nicholas Hoult. I found Jal and Cassie quite unlikeable this time round (compared to watching it for the first time a few years ago). Looking forward to S2!

The memories!! Love generations 1&2. I liked generation 3 in its own right, but it didn’t have the same feel as previous seasons imo. It also annoyed me how Franky’s character did the biggest U-turn ever 😂 feels like the writers just wanted Effy #2!

What part of Bristol is it?
I recognised quite a few spots but I don't know where the houses are.
Maxxie lived in a big council block, cannot work out where that is either.
 
Only just found this thread. I’ve seen some things being said on April Pearson’s TikTok does anyone know the tea on it? Seems like it really affected her being on Skins
