Shtisel

Love it so much. I’ve got through six episodes today think I have three left for tomorrow 😌.
Please feel free to discuss it don’t mind me 😘

Right, so I've watched it all and I've literally never cried so much at a series. I thought my heart would break over Libbi, the tension between Kive and Shulem, the fear of mental health issues, Ruchami so desperate for a baby, Giti vs Lippe and then Giti vs Yo'se'le... my goodness that last scene 🥺. Such beautiful writing, wonderful actors and sensitive topics portrayed. THE best series I've watched on Netflix by far.

I’ve watched all 3 seasons and loved it. It’s slow paced but still totally compelling which is testament to the writing and acting. I did enjoy Unorthodox - Shira Haas and the actor who played her husband were fantastic - but I prefer Shtisel. It’s much more balanced and doesn’t ‘other’ Hasidic Jews as if they’re a different species. It’s really beautifully done imo.
