It’s just going to be tit because they are all so much older now and the humour and the nature of the original program was very much of its time. It’s not going to work now. the whole premise of the identity of the show was single 30 something women living in NY and enjoying life. They should leave it alone. I honestly do not understand how it’s going to translate to married 50 something women living in NY in 2021

Exactly. It's embarrassing how SJP just cant leave Carrie Bradshaw alone. That horse is not only dead, its decomposing, and way beyond reviving. The last film was 10 years ago, and the last series, 17, leave it alone !
 
I think they all look great, and I’m interested in seeing ‘married 50 years old in New York’.
I don’t think women should disappear off our screens as they age, I mean the audience ages as well don’t we? I certainly don’t feel like young pretty 20 somethings as the only interesting women on the planet, and if I was there are plenty of shows featuring them that I could watch.
Can’t wait for AJLT.

I agree that older women are interesting and should have stories told etc but that's not really the issue here. The issue is that the whole premise of the show was about single young 30 something women and their sex lives in the city, looking for love along the way. They all married, two of them had kids etc so the show reached a logical conclusion. To keep dragging it back now just smacks of a desperate cash grab.
 
I've seen some more pics from the set, SJP front and centre as always 🙄 I just can't take to her as carrie anymore.
I love the fact she has grown old gracefully and she looks good for 50, still has a great figure but at the same time she just looks awful, she is dressed like 30something Carrie, do we actually know 50 somethings like that? Maybe shorter hair, less OTT outfits but still all about the shoes would be more realistic, is big still going to be running around in a suit? Surely he will be retired by now money made.
Miranda looks amazing classic, elegant.
