i wouldn't mind seeing one of them (preferably Miranda) on the new show using dating apps; it could be funny to watch and is also quite reflective of how a lot of couples meet these days. She's the only one out of the 3 of them i could see pulling it off well!

- this is if her character is divorced / separated

I think if none of them are single and dating it is going to be SO dull, maybe the new character will be the single one? I predict a cheating storyline with big

Fingers crossed (I've never forgiven Steve for cheating!).

I agree earlier seasons were best
Loves Samantha and the short guy.

My fave Samantha relationship was Richard.

Felt so sad for Charlotte when she split from trey but so pleased she found Harry.
But then I felt they ruined them a bit in the film making them less down to earth unless most Newyork families have nanny.
I hope miranda and Steve lasted.

Some spin offs can work look at good fight from the good wife.
However not sure with satc at all.
More big aiden triangle be so bloody boring.

I think In charlottes circles it would be really common. A few years back mr Ellis and I visited New York and were sitting in Central Park having lunch. He came out with ‘wow lot of adoptive families here’. Well perhaps but I think there were likely more nannies of a different ethnicity...

this was also the same man who exclaimed at the number of Amish people in one area. Nope, Hasidic Jewish men. I think he needs a diversity course đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïž

Without a doubt he would’ve been friends with Epstein if SaTC was in real life

Also, Carrie is not a sex columnist. She writes about sex but she is a relationship columnist. Which is even worse as shes never had a healthy relationship in her life.

But, I do not know who would even read her column they always sound the same. I hated her thinking about that weeks conversations and asking herself questions.

“Whilst Samantha was talking about slipping and sliding all over that Firemans pole, I got to thinking... Would Big catch me if I slipped?”

This. I want a fun new show in a vibrant city that doesn't have a cookie cutter fairytale ending.

I'll watch / read a review to this reboot but won't be watching the show.

The Betrayal of Sex and the City’s Ending

The thesis of Sex and the City seems to be that women don’t need to be defined by marriage. From its premiere in 1998 through six subsequent seasons, the show suggested that women could get everything they needed from their friends. So, many viewers found it startling when the series finale directly contradicted the proposition the show had seemingly set out to prove. In the end, Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte’s storylines focus on their committed relationships with men.

Thus the once seemingly progressive Sex and the City joined the ranks of shows like Friends and Gossip Girl which depicted women finding a “happily-ever-after” in toxic relationships, romanticizing and normalizing the patterns of unhealthy partnerships. One could try to argue that TV viewers weren’t ready for an ending featuring a single female protagonist — but this had already been done, and been well-received many times before. In the years since Sex and the City concluded, more relationship-focused shows have gained the confidence to leave their heroines unpartnered.

The ending of Sex and the City, however, shows the writers weren’t confident in their own thesis, and they left viewers with an inconsistent message about the acceptable paths for women to take.

That's clearly not NYC, but great regardless!

I really do hope someone does a good NYC based show once it springs back into life, it's all a quite grim at the moment :(

Looks like he's still doing it on insta, this was 2 days ago but the full thing is behind a patreon

this is actually something I would pay on patreon for, it is hilarious, in other episodes they keep making reference to the fact they are "clearly" in NYC, the best episode is 8 imo

Ah excellent I thought it might be that self aware, only watched the first one thanks to your post. Will watch the rest later!

Yeah someone like that who isn't getting that many views and content takes a while to make I don't have an issue with Patreon. It's not like the people churning out easy stuff, that's sponsored and gets millions of views and still begging for money.
