Miranda’s family, Charlotte’s brother, and looked like her dad gave her away at her wedding. Samantha’s family mentioned when she was sick with the flu. Carrie has a photo of her and her dad, but nothing else?!

One of my pet peeves in TV shows. When family members are never at weddings/birthdays/funerals or they’re at 1 but no more family events ever again. One thing Sopranos did very well (only say as I’m rewatching again now). It just comes across as lazy to me when they can’t be bothered to hire the actors back for the sake of realism and continuity.

its bizarre really when you think about it. If I recall correctly I don’t think there was ever any Christmas days or thanksgivings shown? I know it was referenced when Charlotte converted to Judaism but never any “my mum is coming for the holidays etc”

I always think it’s weird there’s no Frank Jr at Phoebe’s wedding in Friends but I guess an excuse could be because of the snow?

Also Carrie says her dad left when she was little but in the episode with Wade the comic book guy when they’re listening to records she says something like ‘this song is so me driving my parents car without them knowing about it’ - could be talking about a step dad but I always thought that was a continuity error

Yes I know I’m sad 😂 I’ve rewatched many many times!

Yes I think in The Carrie Diaries her mum had passed away so her dad was bringing Carrie and her sister up (who I don’t think she mentioned in SATC either)

The dress she wears before she falls in is beautiful too! It always made me sad that it got soaked in the lake
