The newspaper print dress was incredible, she looked amazing in it.

i also loved the pink dress Charlotte wore to Brady’s birthday party after her miscarriage.

i find it odd in the newer series and especially AJLT where Carrie is so averse to wearing anything but skyscraper heels. Yet in the earlier series she would often be seen in trainers and sandals

I think this Vivienne Westwood suit deserves an honourable mention, it’s probaby my favourite outfit from the entire show 😍
This is a lovely outfit but she was SUCH a brat in this episode. Vogue gives her a job and then her face in the meeting with Enid and the guy who eventually hits on her because someone’s giving her some constructive feedback is like 😲🫢🤨And then she decides she’s quitting 🙄

Also the era of the annoying screeches and screams and over exaggerated expressions/gestures

Maybe I'm an old boot who's stupid and offensive. But she was ahead of her time; Carrie was emulating someone gen z on their first job.

Enid was right. She was the actual adult in the room. Can you imagine Carrie dealing with Anna Wintour? Also Candace Bergen would totally deserve a rich Russian artist boyfriend. Although I also think Wallace Shawn is delightful.
Enid was great, her appearance was one of the high points of AJLT for me.

I must be the only person alive who doesn't like that newsprint dress. I have a real aversion to asymmetric hems on clothing anyway, but it also looked like the nastiest, cheap polyester fabric (even though I'm sure it was probably silk) and clung to her in really weird, unflattering ways IMO.

You're not alone. I thought it was awful:(

It was awful. And why the duck would you wear such a 'sexy', attention grabbing dress (the first time around) when having lunch with the woman who's husband you've been shagging? The mind boggles.

The lack of families is even odder when you consider how much we know about LTW’s!
Carrie hates families so much she wouldn’t even let Big be buried with his. Instead choosing to chick him off a bridge of a city he proposed to another woman in. Go figure.
She was a witch for scattering his ashes alone without inviting his family after his brother had expressly brought up the subject
