In an interview Kim explained she was begged by the head of HBO personally to be involved, so the implication is she got a massive payday, she got Pat Field a payday to dress her (loyalty), she didn’t have to speak to anyone she didn’t want to and knows many people are watching the series just to see her come back.
You know, until now I was kind of disappointed in Kim for returning after being so adamant she was done with playing Samantha jones, but when you put it like this it makes sense and it’s like she’s taking the opportunity to give 2 fingers to SJP, MPK etc!

I bet she's also absolutely loving the fact that the current strikes mean she doesn't have to do a single bit of promotion for it!

Still shipping Steve and Aiden tbh. If only for that conversation with Carrie.

Aiden: See, the thing is Carrie, while I was married I figured some things out.

Carrie: Oh Aiden, you don't have to say it. I know.

Aiden: You... know?

Carrie: I know you've always been in love with me and never stopped. I know I broke your heart but you love me and that's fine and I'm ready to-.

Aiden: Erm, no Carrie. I'm gay. And I have been in love with someone all this time, but it's Steve.

Carrie: Ssssssteeeeeeve?! *convulses with narcissistic rage*
"Oh and Samantha is officiating the wedding" 🤣

Just seen a reel on Facebook with a couple of clips of Aiden and Carrie- they both seem pretty happy! But of course miserable Miranda is there to warn Carrie she might be moving too fast, like she didn't drop her family, job and uni course in the blink of an eye for the terminally unlikeable Che
I suppose her own crappy decisions make her uniquely qualified to give such advice!

Am I the only one who is kinda meh about Samantha returning? I liked her character in the previous series, but she was a caricature by the time the movies came about.

SATC was always about Carrie and the other 3 women supprted her storylines, she was the only one featured in the opening credits. I know Samantha is a fan favourite and I get that. But really it was never the Samantha show, she was comic relief, her sex scenes were ridiculous and it’s only in the later series they began giving her some depth.

Hate hate what they’ve done to Miranda. Charlotte/Kristin has lost all acting ability. Harry makes her somewhat likeable but still she is just this shrieky annoying mess.

The show may have been about Carrie but Samantha was the most interesting and likeable in my opinion

Samantha was very funny. I've almost finished rewatching season 6 and it's so very good (although the last Big/Carrie scene on the bridge makes me cringe, the dialogue/sound or soemthing is so clunky).

Shame they couldn't recapture the magic.
Watched the final episode last night and thought the same. Big would never had said “you’re the one”. It was so off 🤦🏻‍♀️

Samantha was always my favourite. She was just outrageous. I found Carrie hard to actually like most of the time. The “YOU HAVE TO FORGIVE ME AIDEN” scene and the way she screeched the word “scrunchy” are in my top two worst Carrie moments in SATC 🤮🤮.
Black cherries is my least favourite. That and the awful crying attempts.

Watching it now! Alex is a real prick in this episode but also Carrie is a fool. I cried at the Steve/Miranda/Mary situation. Smith is ❤️

Damn you AJLT!
