I thought Aiden was fit season 4, thought Carrie was awful to him both seasons she was with him but was quite looking for to seeing him back for nostalgia.
The jacket and the slow delivery of lines was ick. Is he under acting because Kristen is over acting?
---
Also does he still own the bar with Steve?
Is he denouncing Carrie’s apartment a way of getting her to move somewhere else?

What is up with Aidan's lower face? He seems to talk through gritted teeth.
Horrific jacket too.
The back of Carrie's coat looked like it had a 1980s dried floral arrangement on.
The first hug was the only nice moment for me.
Miranda is pathetic. I liked her dress.
Charlotte is silly. She must have been wearing serious suction underwear not to be able to sit up straight in the hospital bed.
Nya (is that her name?) is boring. She spent all evening making seemingly a single-serve soufflé too - bollocks to that.
Che likes dogs - still a massive knobhead though. Too little too late.
Still don't like Lisa Whatever Her Name Is. She bores me while wearing brash outfits. Her husband is fine in a bland kind of way.
Seema is bad at complaining to a business - her shrill response doesn't really add up with her boss witch persona. Samantha would've sorted that situation in minutes.
All the kids are insolent, spoilt, overpriviliged brats.
I'm not sure this is worth the hate watch - the only reason I keep coming back is this thread!

The newbies are so unnecessary
Can’t they just bin them all and focus on the three we know?! It would be so much better. They can be in the background as side plots or funny interactions, like Lucy Liu and Samantha’s Birkin, or Miranda and the doctor, and that would be enough to show the diversity of New York that was lacking in the original, but they don’t need whole quarter episode boring stories :)
I’m not saying that POC only deserve to be side plots btw (think you guys know that) just we want the old characters and race is irrelevant

I’m done. The only character I have remote interest in is Charlotte. I can’t even bear to watch Miranda - everything about her makes me cringe & don’t get me started on her wardrobe (though purple dress was lovely) but the patterned jumpers & coats are terrible. And Carrie & Aidan - I find the whole idea just yuck; what a f#*k you to Big.

Why on earth would they do this? It's like it was filmed during lockdown or something. I said this about the last episode parts are just badly done cgi and looked awful
Probably for scheduling or reshoots. But it sticks out like a sore thumb. Just like when they dubbed over Charlotte's audio with some clearly studio recorded stuff in episode 6 while she was chatting in the kitchen.

They get lazy and think "that'll do" rather than that's good. Like that awful apartment GC from season 1.

Bringing Aidan back is a sentimental ploy to get all the SATC fans to watch this season. Same goes with Samantha. Would be better in the long run to have really strong and realistic storylines to make the fans binge watch. Women just watch for the fashion bits rather than the development of these characters and the challenges of life 20 years on.

Just finished episode 7.

It wound me up from the off, grown women squealing about Valentines Day. I liked Seema's attitude to it in the spa, and honestly Nya's way of spending it with cake and wine is exactly how I'd rather spend it! Harry couldn't book a table for him and Charlotte but at gone 8 pm Carrie and Aiden were both in restaurants with loads of empty tables?!

Che and LTW- pointless.

Miranda looked nice on her date, wound me up that Carrie (self obsessed as ever) forgot about it and called her for a whinge.

Anthony was filler but at least he's still the same as he was in SATC.

Aiden- wishy washy. Remember Sam saying to Carrie about him along the lines of "Granola- so not you" Hotels or not, he's never ever going to let Carrie forget the past
That was the first time I saw Samantha in Seema - I loved that part. I think she is underused. I also like Nya - she reminders me of Miranda in her 30's. And Anthonhy is Amazing!! Honestly the supporting characters are by far the best in the show at this point!

Absolutely.

SATC had extra characters that popped up in recurring episodes (Stanford and Anthony are a great example!!) but their plot lines were always tied into the theme of the episode and we usually saw them with one of the respective girls - Carrie with Stanford and Charlotte with Anthony.
Did we ever seen Anthony having dinner with random friends that we’ve never met before? No! Because we wouldn’t care about them! And yet we’ve got LTW having whole episodes about her husband and children and not interacting with the main characters once 🙄

The writers are trying to do too much and it’s not working.
