Who is writing this crap?

Why are they so bad at writing lesbian characters? The book shop lady’s dialogue was predatory and if a man had uttered the same lines, there would be outrage!

Miranda is ridiculous. The apartment scene was comical but 35 year old Miranda would have been out of there in a shot. Loved her outfit though 🔥

Carrie forgetting Miranda had a date and phoning her for a moan was the most Carrie Bradshaw thing of all the episodes combined. She’s STILL a terrible friend.

I can’t cope with Charlotte’s storylines and her children are horrors. I cringed at every, single scene.

I like Nya but just don’t see the point in her character.

What was LTW’s actual problem? That her son’s girlfriend is white? 😱 Once again, minimal interaction with any other characters from LTW & Co. I cannot care about this family.

I like Anthony but everything about the “Hot Fella” segment just made me very uncomfortable.

Why more Che? Entirely unnecessary. They need to disappear. Side note - who is responsible for Che’s action movie hench man person styling?

Aidan, just no. I was hoping he’d stood her up, or it was a catfish situation. Then I was hoping he’d walk away but no, the crappy writers ruined it again. SATC Aidan would never go back there. (I refuse to acknowledge that second movie Aidan happened). He didn’t even call her “pop tart”. Just no.

The only amusing thing about the entire episode was the waiter in the wrong restaurant. His interactions with Carrie were so realistic and relatable. I felt his indifference to her 😂

The acting is awful, the writing is worse, the original character assassination is criminal. I’m most definitely hate watching but can’t look away 🫣

Adore this thread 🥰

Just thought- when Carrie went to the wrong restaurant, she gave Aiden's name in as the reservation name and was shown to a table 🤔 Surely the maitre d' would have said sorry, there's no reservation under that name given that the actual reservation was for the place next door?!
Yes exactly this! I get NY is a big city but seriously, what’s the chances of two people with the same name with booking for the exact time at restaurants right next door.
Proper tit writing

It *could* have been mildly amusing if a different Aiden Shaw had turned up 😁

Yeah they could have just skipped that bit, added nothing to the story anyway 😂 there were also loads of empty tables there for peak time?
And as I said earlier, on Valentines, when Harry couldn't book a table anywhere?!

Sorry, but why can't we have Carrie with a new man?

She was horrible to Aiden, absolutely toxic and he's clearly still affected by what she did. He's a father so no doubt Carrie will be an absolute narc of a stepmother to those boys if this works out (which it shouldn't).

It would be infinitely better to see Carrie bloom with a new man who is actually good for her than regress and begin barking "You have to forgive me!" at Aiden all over again.
If they do get back together I hope aiden cheats on her (ideally with Steve 🤣)

It was so painfully obvious what would happen when Charlotte ate one of the brownies 🙄. Worst scene in the whole episode was Charlotte saying she'll make it work for a 5:30 valentines reservation.

I think the guy playing Aiden just isn't as good at acting these days, other cast members can relate.

Anthony is great, but the hot fellas stuff has been done. They clearly don't want to actually use one of the best characters and not make him one dimensional. Wouldn't you be more annoyed about injecting right next to the bread rather than the use of steroids? I know nothing about them but do you really carry the syringes with you and jab yourself like snacking on a packet of dolly mixture in your back pocket? More terrible writing and they could have come up with a better reason to need a new guy.

Where is Brady? Mentioned in previous episode that Steve had given him some bar shifts but otherwise has disappeared.

I still can’t understand why the writers think it’s a good idea to bring Aidan back. She tit all over him by cheating with Big then treated him like tit after begging to get him back. Why go back there after 20 years? What do they even have in common? I can’t see how this will work and most likely we will have to suffer more crap writing and ridiculous plots.

Exactly, I don't find it believable that someone in their 50s would behave like this, it's like something from your 20s or maybe 30s when you're still making poor relationship decisions imo

On this point, my assumption was in true Charlotte York style it was in a neighbourhood that Charlotte wouldn't be seen dead in i.e. too boho or something. So Harry didn't bother looking in areas that Charlotte wouldn't approve of perhaps. But yes, shoddy and inconsistent writing!
