God I must be in the minority so - I found this episode painful.
It’s just so forced.

The three new characters are pointless. They add nothing to the story of the three main characters and feel like 3 seperate subplots.

The scene with Charlotte and Harry making the restaurant reservation felt like a filler or to give Charlotte more screen time - pointless.

Spoiler: When Miranda said that 35 year old Miranda would have stayed but 56 year old Miranda won't. Anyone else call bullshit on that? I think old Miranda would have been out that door in 3 minutes flat. She wouldn't have taken that from a man - not dressed, take out menu when she was promised dinner, dirty apartment, used car litter on the floor (it's usually in the shower room, well why isn't it in there since that is where the cat is!), bed not made. No preparation or thought for her arrival but still expecting sex. No way of Miranda would have put up with that disrespect.

Does she expect less from women than from men?

I agree. It was extremely meh. Nothing particularly bad I suppose, but so many plots going on, mostly pointless. Nya? Chocolate soufflé on her own. LWT - kid having sex (do we really need another of these, we get it, teenagers are horny, we don't need to think about this), Char, more fluffy shite, Anthony - pointless penis gags, even Drew Barrymore can't act in AJLT, Miranda, WTF was the point of this, Carrie and Aiden, yawn. Seema - brutally underused, just a talking post for Carrie at this point, Che...is nice to dogs, nice try writers but we see straight through this blatant manipulation. Lily is a spoiled duck. Rock is meaningless to the show.

I liked the ep but agree, Lily is a bleeping brat. Hopefully Charlotte returning to work will make her less so but I feel there may be more brattishness as they “adjust” to her not being a stay at home mom 🥱

It’s like they’ve replaced one main character (Samantha) with three which goes to show what a gaping hole (sorry, normally that wouldn’t be a double entendre) Kim has left. If it was SATC, they’d be side characters with plot lines adjacent to one of the four main women, at a rate of one character per episode, two episodes at the most, but they have their own storylines in AJLT every week. Nobody cares. They need to be edged out. In fact, I don’t think anyone would notice if they just disappeared. I’d totally forgotten who Seema was this season til I read on here.

I laughed at bits of it and found the flow not too bad but agreed re the newbies. There are too many bitty and pointless storylines that take up too much air time and seem to go nowhere/ I did find LWT quite amusing though. The Anthony sorry was just shite, although he makes me laugh. I hope never to see Aidan again.

I’ve literally just started the latest episode. It’s painfully obvious that when they’re all supposed to be at lunch together, SJP isn’t with the other two, the camera never shows the three of them together, just the back of SJP’s head when the other two are in shot. It was the same when they were having dinner in the last episode.

😳 I didn't notice! On rewatching it's most odd. You usually see a wider shot so you see them all together 😳
