She looks like an old woman whose dentures don’t fit.
This picture is a great demonstration of the problem with her teeth, they're really off colour and look, well, quite gnarly. They never used to look like that, I'm not sure what's happened. I know I'm being really mean but she ruined Miranda so as Demi Lovato would say *widens eyes, freezes face* SORRY, NOT SORRY!

You know one thing I don't really get
The girls seem so chilled about miranda getting a divorce when in reality, they've been married for what 15/16 years? Steve has been a part of the girls lives for about 20 years altogether, and yet they're just so like "yea ok" about it all, like don't they have feelings towards Steve in terms of friendship? Respect? Adoration? Look how they reacted when miranda left him after he cheated in the first movie.

Also why are they all so shocked that Charlotte still gives Harry blow jobs? Does sex stop after 50?
I know, I don’t get it! I’ve been married nearly 23 years, three kids later I’m 47, husband 51 and we still fancy each other rotten even after all those years! Are we the weird ones?

I hate that they call it acting but basically Cynthia/Miranda is just playing herself, with the same scenarios as in her real life! She was married (to a man), couple of kids and then upped and left him for a woman, who she now has a child with. i have no problem with that at all BUT why did she have to give her character a complete personality change? Miranda was most definitely not attracted to women….

I really don't understand the Miranda storyline. Are we meant to empathise with her or dislike her?

There are absolutely no redeeming qualities in her this series. She comes a spoilt entitled selfish women. It would have made more sense if the sex scene with her and Steve was her trying to initiate intimacy and him pulling away. Then it would have given her character a little more credibility when she was pursuing Che. The fact that she's got this lovely husband, house, life, and she's moaning just makes her look so unlikeable.

I really hope that Che ends up dumping her and she learns the error of her ways but I doubt Cynthia Nixon would have agreed to that storyline given that she's pushing this virtue signalling wokery down our throats at every turn.

Cynthia Nixon's overacting is painful.

Che: We're not dating!
Cynthanda: We're naaaaaaht?! 😨

The AJLT page on Instagram is getting an absolute (deserved) pasting from some very angry people at the suggestion that a young woman can only afford to live in the 'good apartment downstairs' because she's a Russian prostitute. Said it before, but for all the diversity and inclusivity stuff, the writers were effortlessly cool with misogyny.

can we actually imagine Miranda acting like this in the series? Chasing Che around the country? Thinking they’re dating when they’re not! Remember when she couldn’t say I love you so she ate the cookie? Remember when she first slept with Steve and he was leaving and she was just so cold. No I’m not happy.

Probably more shocked she can move her mouth enough to do it….

Cynthia also has a trans child in real life, a daughter that is now her son, so we have that Rose/Rose story line too. It's the Cynthia show at this point and I wonder if she only agreed to come back and do the reboot if she got this level of input into the story. With Kim Cattrall noping out of this I wonder if the writers/producers/SJP were willing to agree to anything to secure the one million pay day per episode deal.

Remember how the girls reacted to Samantha’s relationship with Maria in season 4? I’ve just rewatched that scene and it’s as follows:

CARRIE: How does that work? You go to bed one night and you wake up the next morning and poof you’re a lesbian?
MIRANDA: Oh I forgot to tell you - I’m a fire hydrant
CARRIE: Yeah I’m a shoe. I always wanted to be one and poof now I am!
CHARLOTTE: I don’t think she’s a lesbian, I think she ran out of men.
MIRANDA: Then you go on strike, you don’t eat pussy!

How have their, and particularly Miranda’s, attitudes towards someone’s sexuality changed so much?!

Hahaha yes! I thought this was going to be a new storyline about one of them having dementia or something?!
it almost seemed like Miranda was supposed to be losing her memory or something. really odd. As I was watching yesterday I thought "what? another blowjob storyline with Charlotte?" then I realised, no thye just basically reveal everything in the trailerthe week before, especially now the episodes are so short

Wow this conversation would be considered hate speech by trans activists of today 🤪 and homophobic. We’re living in vastly different times now but the change in the characters seems too extreme.

But even if Miranda realised later in life that she wanted to go out with a woman, it isn't like her to treat Steve like that. They may not have been on equal footing in terms of finance or education but they treated each other with respect and had a good power balance. All he wanted in life was for Miranda to be happy and fulfilled, gave her space to continue work and stepped up as a dad to Brady without shaming her for being in a "better" job than him. He never came across as feeling emasculated or less than and she has absolutely thrown that back in his face. I hope they show Steve moving on and meeting someone who will love and respect him as much as he does them.

After all of the (rightful) tit she gave him for cheating, the way this has played out is infuriating.

Looks as though Team Steve is winning under this Cynthia Nixon Instagram. Worth scrolling through the comments as some are really funny. The pro-Che ones make me cringe so much though.

I thought this episode was as crap as the rest; the writing and the acting are atrocious. Lily and Charlotte were painful. The shot reverse shot back and forth between Miranda and Shteve was awful.

When Steve was describing their life though…God, I would do anything to have that now. That is life, sharing your life. Miranda is a fool. Or the storyline is foolish. Tbf, it’s usually a man leaving a relationship for a midlife but of fun then regretting it, so maybe that’s what they are trying to portray?

I think the Big scenes might have taken the form of him being a ghost and commenting on the current events - Carrie hearing him etc? There seemed a weird jump from Carrie and Miranda being outside the brownie shop to being in it, for example.

to be fair he did in the episode where she tried to buy him a suit for her work event. But I do agree she never would have treated him like this, ditto Brady no way would she have been such a pushover as a parent

I’m not so concerned by their changes in attitude to things, it’s 20 years on if really hope they had but more that it’s like they’re trying to hide that they ever thought that way in the first place and they’ve always been this woke, it just doesn’t sit right at all
And the producers have said that the only bit with Big that they’ve removed is in the final episode but it feels like he’s now he who should not be named and they’ve just cut chunks of storyline out so that there’s literally no mention of him, it’s so weird. I mean, Carrie spent the whole of SATC chasing him, i’d expect her to be a bit more upset over his death, to talk about it more, which she obviously did but they’ve made this bizarre decision to remove any mention of his name

I think the Big thing would be not him as a ghost but lots of her remembering things, like when they were places together etc
