Predictions for season two. Carrie is seeing producer, boring storylines, Aiden reappears yada yada yada, podcast is best podcast in world, everyone loves it more than the comedy of
Che Diaz. Miranda and Che return, engaged, the pilot in LA is lauded as the most funny, relevant masterpiece since the beginning of time. Che has the power to move it all to NYC so Miranda can become top notch human rights lawyer who will, despite needing money to live on, only seems to do pro bono cases. No mention, ever, of her divorce or Steve. Brady will get mentioned once, he is moving to ‘London’.
Charlotte and Harry will have to deal with Rock transitioning, they will be beside themselves with happiness about this. No worry about a twelve year old making this decision, seemingly without any adult help or advice. Rock is still a massive brat, Lily will continue to be the perfect, invisible child, will have a storyline that she needs to do a poo at school and not at home, this will be over multiple episodes.
Anthony will get back ache from carrying them all.
Sam is still texting, we will never see her again.
We never see any of the ‘important’ characters like Jackie or the neighbour again.
I would love to see a series with Seema, LTW and the prof as pals. I think they are actually good characters and need fleshing out, and would be an interesting friendship dynamic as they all seem to have lives and other friends, unlike C, C and M. In the opening episode they could discuss how they met via strange rich, white women who had never met a person of colour before them.

Why are they all such bad friends to each other? Carrie telling seema about her first date and kiss since her husband DIED and she’s snogging her new bf down the phone and then hanging up 😂

And Miranda being such a cow to Carrie about not believing in the afterlife. Her husband just died!!!
Fauxranda was an absolute bastard in that scene. So judgemental. I dislike her and her stupid scrunched up face

There is zero bleeping continuity in this. What happened to Che’s unconventional relationship wants and pulling a face when Miranda refers to herself as the girlfriend? Now, Che is all in love and wants Miranda to give up her life in NYC and move to LA with Che? Last episode Che didn’t even want Miranda turning up at Che’s apartment unannounced.

(Soz for all the ‘Che’s in that paragraph but I can’t bring myself to use they/them. It just doesn’t work for me).

Rock needs a good smack and an explanation that you sometimes have to compromise in life and do things for your loving parents!!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. They cast this ridiculously handsome BABE as her podcast producer but haven’t used him for a storyline in which he becomes her new man. What a waste of time and money (he’s a fairly prominent actor)

At least this article sums it up so I’m not alone

Now this makes sense 😂 they could have done SOME KIND of build up though

Big revelation from the Documentary was that Michael Patrick King intended Nya Wallace (Law professor struggling with fertility) to be Miranda's love interest. Cynthia Nixon personally intervened stating it would be "boring" having two straight characters (Miranda and Nya) hook up, and pushed for Che to be the love interest.

I feel like this change could be one of the reasons the Nya scenes seem a little bit bland and uninteresting, because her character's arc was rewritten, from love interest to friend/professor.

The documentary is actually pretty good, an easy watch made up of behind the scenes footage of the trio babbling and laughing, plenty of wardrobe nostalgia and a tribute to Willie Garson. Interestingly, there is ZERO mention or footage of Big. Nada. The cast and crew were so excited to film in Paris, hinting those scenes were going to be much more fleshed out, alas, we didn't get to see them.

SJP comes across really well, and she appears quite hands on when it comes to costume/set design. For example, in her old apartment she insisted that it felt too "showroom" like, and proceeded to fill it with all her old "junk" to make it feel more homely and lived in.

Plenty of flashbacks to earlier seasons as they look through racks of dresses and shoes.
Kristin Davis had extensive tennis lessons for that scene! 🎾🤣
