So it starts with them doing the podcast, Carrie announces again “My Husband died” and declares it the ultimate break up.
She then goes to her apartment and tells Big’s ashes she is going on a date.
Kisses the teacher and calls Seema for a post date analysis. Seema is holed up in a hotel room (3 days and counting!) with the club/Prada guy and indulges in light foreplay whilst on the phone to Carrie.

Carrie’s reading lamp turns on and off and during brunch the next day, with Charlotte and Miranda, announces she thinks Big is cross with her as she kisssed someone.
Miranda does not believe in Heaven so changes the subject to how she is going to meet Che’s family. Carrie believes Big is sat on a cloud smoking pissed with her and controlling the lamp.
Carrie takes lamp to be repaired.

Scene at Charlotte’s where Anthony parents Rock whilst Charlotte has a breakdown over Rabbis.

Miranda goes to watch Che do stand up. Che sings and Miranda gets confused, asks people “what is happening” whilst looking doe eyed. Che announces, on stage, she is going to California to do a pilot show. Che asks Miranda to go with her, Miranda acts like a 4 year old who has just been given a pony.

Carrie gets invited to a party.

Miranda goes to see her lecturer and tells her she is going to LA with Che. Lecturer asks her ‘what about the internship?’. Miranda rabbits on and I lost interest.

Lecturer and husband are on trial separation.

Carrie goes for lunch with Big’s brother who asks her where John is. Carrie tells him, he died. Big’s Brother tells her he meant his remains. Carrie tells him Big is on a shelf next to her shoes. Big’s Brother tells her there is space in the family crypt for John and, as he is getting divorced , they may also be able to fit Carrie in there as well.

Carrie goes to pick the haunted lamp up. It was a faulty wire that is now fixed.

The party Carrie goes to turns out to be a surprise wedding. Her podcast boss is there but Che wasn’t invited. Hot podcast boss likes Carrie’s voice and wants to produce her alone.

Carrie goes home and tries to communicate with Big via the lamp. Weird strange flash back with no Big.

Carrie tells Miranda and Charlotte that following strange flash back with no Big, that was a dream about Big, she now knows Big wants to be in Paris. Asks Miranda and Charlotte to go to Paris with her.

Charlotte wears the most awful pink dress.

Rock refuses to go to the Bar Mitzvah as they don’t believe in it.

Miranda tells Carrie she is going to LA, Brady is backpacking around Europe with his girlfriend. Carrie throws a strop as Miranda won’t be able to fly to Paris from LA. Miranda tells Carrie she can do it and Carrie asks Miranda what she is going to do in LA all day other than ‘sit in an audience and laugh”. Miranda has emotional breakdown. Random person in toilet overhears their conversation and tells Carrie and Miranda their bond is precious.

Charlotte has The Bar Mitzvah for her instead. Miranda announces she is in love ane Not going to Paris. Carrie announces she is going to Paris alone.

Miranda dyes her hair and now has the best ever Mother / Son relationship with Brady.

Cut to Carrie in the most over the top ballgown, in Paris on a bridge, song is playing, she cries. She has arm length pink gloves on.

Jumps to Carrie doing an advice phone in podcast about loss.

She snogs the hot podcast producer in the lift and it ends with a voice over saying “And just like that”.
 
Awwww. I liked it! Loved the final few scenes with the emotional song playing.
Season 2 could be a hell of a lot more interesting given what unfolded here, with the disjointed Big storyline finally laid to rest 🥰
Some hilarious unintentional laughs sprinkled throughout. 7/10 rating for me 🥳

God that sounds dire, I'm not bothering. I had the lowest of expectation but I still feel disappointed.

Possibly the worst ever look for Carrie. I actually laughed out loud!

So it looks like we’re having to wait for the documentary. It’s streamed immediately after in the US. Can’t find it airing here. I really need to see it to decide who to blame.
 
Can someone give me the gist of Samantha and carries texts? My eyesight is terrible and I couldn’t read them! I can’t be bothered to rewind and pause and guessed you’d all know!
Also we all called it with Carrie and podcast guy!
The scene in Paris was quite sweet, anyone else want the lamp behind her to flicker when she’d spread the ashes ? Just me ?!

She tells Samantha
"I kissed a man."
And Sam says
"The first of many.
How was it?"
And Carrie says
"It wasn't Big."
Sam says
"So it was small."
Carrie says
"Want to talk?"
And Sam says
"Soon."
 
The kiss at the end was so unexpected. They didn't even bother trying to add any chemistry between those two characters for the whole 10 episodes to make it feel believable. They just randomly have a passionate kiss in the very last scene.

No thought for the poor guy she's been dating whose wife died.

Thank you so much! After writing my post I started to wonder was it even Samantha she text as I couldn’t see well at all! Thanks that’s saved me pausing and standing literally on the tv to see it 😂
 
Producers - so you sit in one scene near the beginning then you have a line and a kiss final episode

I fastforwarded so much of this series. I don’t think I care enough to watch another one. The comments here have been better.
