Good read! I also love how it mentioned that ridiculous waddle away Miranda did when she spotted Brady, she looked like she’d tit herself 😂 and they kept playing it every time it hit an ad break and we had to see that sweet Microsoft word art ‘and just like that…’ title, I was hooting!
Hahaha same. What was that scurry away. Way to draw attention to yourself! Mirandas teeth have always been odd. I guess it shows more because everyone else has pearly whites hers stick out like a sore thumb. I am wholeheartedly team Steve and the only thing that will make this series great is of she gets her comeuppance, nasty witch.

I loved the line about "pouring a snaple bottle of piss on your bonfire" :ROFLMAO:

The Wedge sandal Waddle or The Soiled myself Shuffle?

I’m with you, but WHY in God's name was this storyline, with its apparent goal of humiliating everyone involved, agreed? Do the 40-something (apparently) writers hate people in their 50s? Have SJP, KD and CN no regard whatsoever for the characters they used to play? Do they despise the people they themselves used to be? Do they loathe being in their 50s? Are they so removed from real life that they actually think normal folk like this kind of thing? Have they agreed to blow up the franchise so they never have to do this again? It's all very perplexing.

I'm researching again and just saw the one when Miranda and Steve met and she chases him out to kiss in the rain.

AJLT- you broke them
I’ve just watched the one where Miranda gets chlamydia and her and Steve talk about how many people they’ve slept with. It’s over 80 for Steve but in the intervening years he’s somehow forgotten how to finger a woman 🙄

It’s as if the writers think it’s so “edgy” and all the teens and 20 somethings will start watching.

When in actual fact, the majority hate what they’re doing the show. I know a few late teenagers (friends of my youngest sister) who started watching and had to turn it off because of how desperate it is.

See I don’t get why she ran away from the LGBT ceremony thing, she could’ve just said she’s there for her friend who Brady knows is Mirandas friend, and blame her “old stupid 55 year old” brain on why she was in a different crowd to the allies.

Why have they made Miranda such a stupid self involved and mindless witch?

I agree, they could've done so much better than what they did and imo it couldn't have been worse. They basically took away all what we loved about the original! Although I believe it's already in the works for a S2, I highly doubt we'll get a S3.
I just don’t really get who it’s meant to appeal to. I’m 32 and I find it cringe, and I’m just on the cusp of the age where I get all this pronouns stuff- younger people won’t have grown up with the series at all and it’s not good enough to watch without knowing the characters

And I’d add to this, do they hate david who plays Steve?? With a real hearing loss problem in real life, you think they’d be sensitive to this but nooooooo - he has become a mockery!!!

Does anyone watch Billions? (Its absolutely excellent btw) its back on tonight and Wags said “I didn’t want to end up like Mr Big!”
(death by vigorous peloton)

Was just wondering when they were both filmed, and if Billions writers had some insider trading tips via HBO. 😜

I can’t see Che simply being in bed with someone, I think they’ll have to incorporate Miranda into her comedy act, saying something really humiliating. (Whig will of course be another negative for Che) Surely they can’t just be as simple as ‘I love everyone, I’m Che, I’m unique’ and Miranda trots off tail between her legs to Steve.
I also think she’ll realise that Che was just a distraction and she needs to be on her own because she’s totally lost who she is since quitting law.

Weighing in, I too hate all this woke shite. Allude to it once, don’t make it the whole show. You can’t atone, just acknowledge & move forward.
- I hate that they’ve made Che a spectacle. There are no ordinary, harmless LGBTQ+ characters, they all have to be totally OTT and Che is exactly what homophobic people are afraid of. She’s almost predatory.
- I think Carrie’s passiveness at Miranda’s actions are a combination of being wrapped up in her own grief, not being interested and not wanting to acknowledge that Carrie had her future stolen by death yet Miranda is willingly throwing hers away because she’s be angry.
- I really hope this colonoscopy thing isn’t just a really crappy way to get them all single again, all back in the dating pool. “AJLT we were all single again”. Harry doesn’t need to die and Charlotte doesn’t need to be single. There was almost always at least one of them in a relationship at any one time, let Charlotte be that.
- I hope Miranda drops this thing she’s on, but given how art is imitating life it would be a bold move to expect Nixon to agree to it ending in tears or even implying she was foolish.

Edit: *their
And by harmless I mean not outlandish, just unremarkable. Their sexuality is their whole personality rather than being incidental.

It’s all so contrived. That LGBT celebration scene was like something from an alternative universe - everyone holding fake signs, absolutely nobody on their phones, the different sections, Che yet again yelling a bunch of stuff nobody cares about. And there were a million reasons Miranda could have given for being there. Her job is to think on her feet, this wouldn’t have presented much of a challenge surely?
