Love it. Absolutely right, Steve has committed the crime of being a heterosexual middle-aged white bloke and must be punished accordingly.
Yes. All of this. They did the marriage got stale, they had no sex, he cheated, they worked on it story line in the film. She literally left and then CHOSE to go back to him. If I remember rightly; it wasnāt logic, it was love. Now weāre expected to believe all that growth and drama was for nothing because of Che?!? Of al people?!?You are so right and it bleeping kills me because Miranda and Steve have such a nuanced storyline built over literally years and it culminates with REAL personal growth for Miranda (remember when Magda tells her āreal love is what you did. You loveā when sheās looking after Steveās mum with dementia, and itās such a MOMENT because miranda had been so resistant to the idea of being a wife, a mum, living in Brooklyn, caring about others, etc etc. And now theyāve just fucked that beautiful arc with some out of character bullshit. I donāt even like Steve and he deserved better, so did their story. Bit like Samantha chucking Smith in the movie. What a load of bs.
They have 3 bedrooms if I remember correctly because Trey and Charlotte converted the random room into a nursery, and they had a guest bedroom so god knows why they're sharing a room.
My take on last night's episode.
I enjoyed the picnic and plastic surgeon scenes. Felt more like the old days. Especially Charlotte's reaction to Miranda's indiscretion.
I thought Carrie's trouser suit was sensational, really stylish and not the usual outfit we'd see her in. I'd look horrendous in high waisted trousers like that, they would make my belly look even bigger.
I really missed Miranda's red hair when this series started, but her hair seems to have changed from the first couple of episodes, almost looks like a wig as it's so perfect, but I thought Miranda looked gorgeous in the picnic scene.
I'm still getting over the actor that plays Anthony is 62 IRL, he absolutely looks nowhere near that age, at least 12 years younger. (This is after I yesterday learned Claude from The Apprentice is 72! What moisturiser are these men using?). Anthony has definitely been the comedy this series needs desperately. God, I miss Stanford so much though.
The scenes with Miranda's college lecturer out with friends and back home having a shag were boring. Me and my boyfriend agreed that we just aren't invested in, or caring about these side characters, nor having their own storylines. (Yes, my poor fella had been roped into watching it with me, I watch SATC on constant repeat and he begrudgingly enjoys some episodes, I've caught him laughing at scenes and he knows the character's names. My work here is done!)
The CGI on that apartment balcony was lame AF, just... why?!?!
Also, did Carrie buy that place, then sell it just as quick? The beeping storyline was dragged out and seemed pointless. Are we also really to believe that after over a decade living in absolute luxury, with closets the size of her old place, that she really would move back to that tiny apartment of hers?
Finally, where the heck was Steve "What did you Shay?" Brady?
That's so funny. I literally just posted saying the same thing. I was scrutinising those pics last night trying decide. Saddo that I am.
Oh and one more thingā¦ I think that Charlotteās storyline with her daughters is unfortunately being conflated with all the other weird try-hard storylines, but tbh on its own, it makes sense.
Charlotteās daughters are both young Gen Z growing up in a liberal (I donāt say that derisively) New York City, attached to technology and now in the wake of COVID and BLM. The portrayal of these tweens/teens is pretty realistic, and the cultural and generational clashes, the controversies and confusion over gender norms and school and what to ignore and what to be attentive toā¦ thatās a real thing and IMO it does make perfect sense as a storyline for a 2021 Sex and the City. Unfortunately viewers understandably see it as all one thing. If they had turned the dial down on the other storylines, I think the plot with Charlotteās daughters could play decently well and realistically.
Nor me, mid 40's, mind you next decade looks like I'll be dribbling in a nursing home, pissing myself and shouting racist and transphobic slurs at people. I won't be able to hear their replies as I'll be deaf by then. What a time to be alive eh?
ive just turned 40 and dreading what the next decade will bring after all this!!
And then all 3end up in some kind of weird polyamorous relationshipEveryone who wants to see more of Steve...be careful what you wish for, the way this series is going they'll probably have him transition. "Jusht call me Shtephanie!"
Charlottes apartment has six rooms altogether.I was wondering this - is it really only a 2 bed apartment? If so, I guess Charlotte can't bear the thought of doing what Miranda did and moving to a gorgeous brownstone in Brooklyn
I always thought it was kind of weird that she stayed in her ex-husband's apartment for so many years. It's not like she and Harry weren't comfortable in their own right. Although I guess it's very fancy New York real estate, and she did have to do battle with Bunny to get it.Charlottes apartment has six rooms altogether.
That was Treyās home. Sheās done very well out of that first marriage
He was an investment banker..in the very first satc episode Samantha said he's the next Donald trump, except hotter...Does anyone know what Big actually did for living? I've just had a nose at New York property and you're looking at about $20 million for an apartment like the one Carrie bought! How rich was he!!?

The skid mark pants were a decoy, heās been wearing lacy thongs for yearsEveryone who wants to see more of Steve...be careful what you wish for, the way this series is going they'll probably have him transition. "Jusht call me Shtephanie!"
In some scenes. Her real hair in others. The wig is bright silver and more volumeJust popping in to say Cynthia is 100% wearing a wig, all you need to look at is the parting!
As Iām rewatching it seems like it has many rooms, so anyone could be changed to a bedroom!I was wondering this - is it really only a 2 bed apartment? If so, I guess Charlotte can't bear the thought of doing what Miranda did and moving to a gorgeous brownstone in Brooklyn
