Scrambled wit over here speaking the truths!

Ah I don't know. I think a lot of you are massively not getting it, whilst sounding pretty preachy/Karen-ey

I've really enjoyed the new series so far. As a little gay kid growing up in the 90's/00's - I was fascinated with this program, along with millions of others. Loved the first movie, the second was a bit cringe - but like all franchises, it has its moments.
I was nervous when I heard about the new series, especially taking into account the fact Samantha wasn't going to be a part of it.
However, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's tackled a load of current issues whilst keeping some humour. Death, alcoholism, struggles with sexual/gender identity, the fact we all have to be soooo overly cautious about how we address people - based on their skin colour, sexuality, gender pronouns - these are all really real and current issues so many face today.

I haven't read this whole thread however, I'm pretty disappointed at a good few posts around Miranda. To be honest? You all need to get a grip and try to look beyond your own mundane outlook on the world.
Growing up within the community over the last 20+ years - I have friends, family members even - that have similiar stories to Miranda. Some that have never even so much as thought about a member of the same sex in a sexual way until they were in their 40's, 50's, 60's. One of my best friends was married to a man for 15 years, met a woman in The George with me 5 year ago and is now happily married to her.
...and saying "Ew, Che - why? Why would Miranda choose Che? We might have to see her nude" - jaysus, bleeping listen to yourselves. I can guarantee I wouldn't want to see any of your saggy tits either - however, usually I'd have more tact.

Moral of the story? Don't be a judgey prick. Take your rose coloured glasses off and get off your Karen perch and realise that everyone in the world is different. Not every person deals with or reacts to situations the way you would - and that's OK.
I know this is a website for debates and what not but fuccccck - thank christ I don't have to deal with some of you in real life!
I don't care what race, gender, sexual identity, religion you are, you are incredibly rude. We are talking about fictional characters, you are making it personal. Moral of the story, we have as much right to our options as you. Did you consider people have had a mastectomy and would love saggy tits.

Nobody’s been rude and personally insulting other than you. Which says more about you than us.

Is anyone also a bit grossed out that they make Miranda and Steve completely fine with their child banging the house down with his GF? What parents allow their 17 year old and his GF basically have sex day and night in their house, and then not even reprimand him for calling his mother a witch to her face?

Also, if Brady was my son, his girlfriend wouldn’t even be allowed to be alone in a bedroom with him. Never mind stay in my home not paying bills or rent, eating all my food, making smart comments and making me feel like a stranger in my own home.

I know it’s not real but it annoys me so much.

Also the kid who plays Brady looks like Linguini from Ratatouille and somehow looks 13 and 33 at the same time.

Fictional characters based on peoples everyday experiences and lives.
You’re absolutely entitled to your opinion - it’s welcomed! X

It’s the moaning about POC inclusion that gets to me. I was out with my black friend during that period after lockdown when people were dipping their toes into outdoor dining. My friend has a health condition which compels him to need the toilet frequently. We asked at a restaurant if he could use their facility. The white man told him no and said “We have to look after our own.” I had to explain the situation before he allowed my friend to use the restroom. I could tell that the guy working the door was provincial from a whole slew of factors. The bile I experienced comes back up every time I see a post whining about signaling wokeness. Just no -- if you don’t want to interact with black people go get a desk job and similarly, why would someone watch a show about NYC if LGBTQ+ & BIPOC is going to trigger you 😂

he looks EXACTLY like linguini and i’m never going to unsee that 🤣

somehow in amongst the mess of this whole series the brady storyline is my least favourite. no seventeen year old is knowingly going to have sex in earshot of their parents, and no parent would allow it anyway. there’s no way that miranda (or miranda in her original form) would have raised such a disrespectful kid too. the way he speaks to her is awful.

This sounds made up.
