Thought it was about time (a mere five years) that I learned how to create a new thread. Hope I've done it correctly.

Thread title suggested by @lucylucyapplejuicy. Will add a recap once I've recovered from the stress of it all.

Nobody thinks it’s chic. People from Amsterdam would argue that it isn’t 🤣 mind you she probably thinks Brighton is, too. --- I love Amsterdam and live in and love Brighton. Chic is the last word I'd use to describe either.

If ever there was an outfit that required Madame Gabrielle's (apocryphal?) advice surely this it. The pearls and belt are overkill imo.
(Also that shoe/trouser combo is not a good look for a shortie.)

Bring the public preening over from the last thread. I watched someone put a full face on during a train journey last weekend and they were very skilful and had some really nice products so it was quite entertaining.
I’m genuinely in awe of anyone who can put eyeliner or mascara on whilst travelling.
People who paint their nails or use perfume/body spray etc should be hung, drawn and quartered though. It’s horrible.

There's something a bit off about it isn't there? Overly fussy yet too casual at the same time. A silky vest top and different shoes, plus drop that hideous belt.
Remember when that awful Gucci belt was practically glued to her?

I’m an eyeliner maven, I could do it on the train/tube/car. It’s a gift wasted on me.

She once went on a rant about contouring ‘Faceting one’s head like an emerald” because of how everyone wants to look the same and there can’t be only one type of beauty. Seems massively hypocritical now

What the what is going on with those enormous shoulder pads too? I thought she'd managed to catch a chair back or a mirror behind her shoulder, but nope.

I guess this is a step up from doing an event and wearing a squirt of the brand's perfume or lipstick, but wearing head to toe of any single designer is a bit '1995 Danielle Westwood in burberry'. Naff.

Ooh I've got their Pomegranate one. Literally the only perfume I ever wear my husband comments on - in a good way. Will get that lime one next visit.
Apparently they also do a really good dupe of the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil which is lovely.
