Not sure if there is an active thread for the show, if there is, I apologise. Warning, spoiler alerts.
I remember trying to get into this show in season one, which feels like a decade thanks to the pandemic but..I couldn’t get into it, it wasn’t my cup of tea.
However, I feel that I judged the show too early and my friend said I should at least try to get into the show but start watching from where I stopped, so I did. I binged the whole show until season five because apparently there’s a major change going on with that season.
I...I don’t know what to say...are the writers okay? Do they write the episodes on some trippy acid?
My face muscles have had the most vigorous (don’t laugh) work out due to the insane plots of this show. Season one was about maple syrup, someone had to die over a syrup. Season two was a hooded man on a rampage to clear the town of sinners, sounds like the weirdest fan fiction ever, hooded man was betty’s dad, the whole reveal was a weak blur imo. Season three was a branch, they could’ve burned it down, job solved. Season four...ya know, I’m pretty concerned that the town itself isn’t concerned of betty’s family more than the killers in this show...this girl’s family is tweaked.
Now onto season five and apparently there’s been some sort of see ya in 5 years or so and we see them in five years and they’re all grown up and drifted apart and whatevers.
Hymen (Hiram) is now mayor or whatever of the town; I mean, we all saw this coming eventually and they’ve hinted that hymen might kill Archie later on in the show, this man has a very weird obsession with Archie. Is that his character now? Hating Archie?
Archie was in the army, Betty is an fbi trainee?, Veronica...idk what she is but she’s married to a guy who (surprise, surprise) is an hole, Toni is serpent queen? I presume? She’s a social worker? Cheryl has been a shut in at their was burnt down but now under construction again house from season one for 7 years I believe. Reggie...idk, he just works for Hymen. Nana Rose is still living...idk how old she is but she has amazing healthcare.
The villains in the show at this precise moment is...Hymen, Reggie?, “Trash Bag Killer” when I immediately saw this, I thought it was just some man who was sick and tired of people not taking their recycling more seriously...Season three walking branch and Trash bag killer...eco-friendly killers in the making. I’ll stop, I’m sorry. The relationships on this show...I have no interest in. Betty and Jughead, aren’t together, Veronica and Archie aren’t together, Toni and Cheryl aren’t...together? Idk what’s going on with that. Betty and Archie are having this fling? Friends with benefits? They’re gonna go down a route where their feelings deepen, one will confess, blah, blah, blah but something is in the way of that and I guess they’re doing a slow burn?
Anyways, do you watch the show? What’s your opinion on the time jump? Are you enjoying it?

I completely forgot Jughead...and the new girl, Tabitha, my brain is like soggy ramen, not you can’t eat it, obviously but it’s there:
Jughead apparently is a writer? He wrote a book? Some girl slept with him to read it?Is it that Interesting?
Tabitha is Pop Tate’s daughter? She seems cool, apparently there’s hints of her and jughead getting it on...and they’re working together on the moth man?? (I forgot that there is now a human sized moth as a supposed villain on this show now, can’t make it up)
