Rise and Fall

I don’t really get the concept to be honest, with the leaders it seems to be a popularity contest, and then with the grafters getting to become a leader also seems to be a popularity test? Nothing to do with leading or grafting.. the grafters should be able to vote the leaders off based on who they think has led them the least well, and then that leader moves to become a grafter, and the grafters should have to do more than just be chosen at random to become a leader

Completely agree. Think it would have been far better seeing the leaders suffer as a grafter rather than straight elimination too.

I’m still enjoying it. I have to say Jeff is pissing me off like mad. I want him to get into the penthouse purely for the fact he belonged in there in the first place due to how he was the only one amongst the cast that had experience in the business sector. However, every time he’s elected to go up to the penthouse and make his case as to why he should become a leader he ends up resorting to catty jibes as opposed to relying on the fact he’s got good business acumen and he’s got life experience behind him which would make him an asset to the penthouse dwellers.

One thing that’s annoying me is that the original concept of the show has become quite redundant already, purely due to how it’s becoming a popularity contest due to the formation of alliances. I thought it was supposed to be a show about who could lead the best. If that was the case, Romona as awful as she was, wouldn’t have been booted out and Cheryl and Rachel would’ve been the first ones to go.

What I hope is that they continue to put new people into the basement every time a leader is evicted, and a grafter rises so eventually there’s a new generation of grafters going up against the current generation of grafters but with that being said, do we know how long this series is going to go on for?

This seemed to be a good concept but still needs things working on ie the grafters so far are better staying where they are till very near the end.And the grafters that become rulers, if things stay the same, will have to turn on each other eventually.

Exactly! There's a lot of weakness in the concept and it's going to end up just a lot of backstabbing by which time all will be unlikeable characters anyway. We're not really getting to know anyone. My biggest gripe is that the rulers should have to suffer time as a grafter not just be instantly eliminated.

Trying to give it a go…. Not 100% on it. It’s ok background viewing but at this rate I don’t think it’ll get a second season. The concept doesn’t seem to actually be what the show is, and majority of people are awful?

I saw an interview with Greg James and was slightly surprised that he mentioned it was filming now so I guess the producers could change things up due to feedback/social media comments. I am still watching because after finishing work I don't need give it full attention and after watching The Traitor's I hope there will be an improvement.
