Rings of Power : Lord of the Rings - Amazon

True and I've also read theories about who Halbrand might be...but I don't care, they have chemistry 🥰

Other than that the series is a bit meh, it looks great (Mount Doom!) but it leaves me kinda cold. I loved the LOTR films and I'm currently reading the book with my son - you can't beat Peter Jackson's adaptation.

I feel the same I want to feel at these amazing things but in general I feel meh to it all. Last Friday episode was very slow one left to go this season and imo its been a let down.

I didn't dislike it. Worth watching just for the visuals - thankfully they spent the money and didn't come out with something as awful looking as the hobbit.

But I also wonder why did they bother? I don't know the story outside of lotr but everything was so painfully obvious that there was no suspense. The amount of times I realed off exactly what a character was about to say 🤦‍♀️.

I can't believe they spent that much on the rights only to fail at the first hurdle with the storytelling.

I'll still watch it though, even if it's just for the cinematography and action as that part they didn't faulter much on. I read they were attempting to release yearly, which seems unlikely. So every two years we'll have both this and house of the dragon releasing new seasons. Not ideal.

I watched this before House of the Dragon, and much preferred the latter. And i wasn't expecting that. I'll watch Season 2 of Rings of Power, but i was pretty disappointed overall.
