Reacher

I have watched the first too, fair warning the violence is pretty brutal as per the novels, reminds me of Banshee. High hopes for this and feel Alan Ritchson deserves this to be a big hit, he is a great fit for the role.

I enjoyed Banshee.

I watched the first episode of Reacher the other night and enjoyed it. I haven't read the books but my hubby has read them all. He flat out refused to watch the movie with Tom Cruise saying it was the most ridiculous, arrogant piece of casting ever.

I’ve watched the first episode and don’t know the guy who plays Reacher but I find he has just got one brooding look and it doesn’t seem a natural fit. Saying all that I think the cast and story so far are great and will definitely be watching the rest. Maybe the guy playing Reacher will grow on me!

I only ever read one book, a stupid number like 16, and it was super boring. The whole book played out in a diner. But I guess if you had read the serious and bew the character you might have enjoyed it.

So for mw the series is great because I have a really bad reference point 😂

I loved this. Alan isn't the best actor but he has the part down perfectly. They're making them in order and this was the 2nd book I read but the first one published. Its a bit cheesy but so entertaining and he is gorgeous. Hope they film more.

Loving this. Yes Reacher isn't the strongest actor, but he gets away with it and gets better as the series goes on. Everything else is so strong it can be forgiven. Especially compared to the travesty that was Tom Cruise movie adaptions.

I didn't think it was that violent though, or maybe I'm just desensitised to it 🤣🤷‍♂️

did anyone else think the fire in the warehouse at the end of final episode looked fake/cgi?

He (the actor) did an AMA on reddit a little while ago, and came across as a really nice guy, and took the piss out of himself - I hadn't twigged he was the micro-penis guy from New Girl. I've read the books, and he looks much more like Reacher than Tom Cruise, so I hope it's good.

The AMA is here in case anyone wanted a look: https://old.reddit.com/r/television...reacher_may_not_like_answering_questions_but/
