This series is severely lacking compared to the other two but I'll still watch til the end. I started off really liking Cathie and Trish and I wanted them to win but Monique and Ladi have such a beautiful relationship that I'm rooting for them now. He is such a good father (compared to Kevin) and encourages Monique to stand on her own two feet and she's been stepping up to be fair to her. I love how they are willing to work anywhere to make a bit of money and you can see that Ladi has a strong work ethic and drive. Just lovely, lovely people who deserve to win. I have always liked Mobeen but Zainab has rubbed me up the wrong way before but after hearing of her struggles I've really warmed to her and now understand why she can sometimes be cold. TTC is so tough and for them to be going through it for 6 years has bound to have put a strain on them. You can tell they truly love each other though and he's such a caring husband to her so they would be my second choice to win. Kevin and Claudia both annoy me. He reminds me of someone in my own life and they just can't take accountability for anything they have done which is the vibe I get from him. She is clearly upset about her childhood and the fact he was never really a father to her but he never seems to address it. She is a massive whinger also and I think both of them need therapy. I think if she had done this with a friend instead she would have got further. You can tell how annoyed she gets with him for getting taxis etc as she's happy to ask for free lifts but he's too pigheaded to wait and ask people. Just my two cents 😂
 
I fail to understand how having such a big lead Claudia and Kevin didn’t use those extra hours to properly top up their budget, the whole we can’t miss Niagra Falls

Just want to say you have hit the nail on the head for every contestant.

Really hope Monique and Ladi win, they are in it for the right reasons and seem to be getting a lot out of it, the jury is still out for me as far as Zanaib is concerned, but the people that have met them along the way seem fans, going out of their way to help the pair, so may be the producers are doing the dirty on her. If they did win I would be happy still as I really like Mobeen. He’s such a kind hearted person it seems.

As far as Kevin and Claudia go, really hope they run out of money next week, they don’t deserve to get to the end with their attitude imho.

I agree with this. I find Claudia extremely mercurial, which is understandable given some of their circumstances. Kevin has seemed to leap to placate her at any cost, often at the highest cost. We, however, don’t know how long their debates have gone on for, and without a doubt, what we see is those final straw moments.

Taking overnight transport and unconventional lodgings made it more interesting this week, but that room with the stray eyelash and the dog in a bedroom looked like an unofficial Airbnb and not all that inviting. Thank goodness Claudia didn’t end up there.

Totally agree with alllllll of this. I like the 2 women, but I would want Ladi and Monique to win. Definitely warmed up loads more now to Zainab.

Kevin and Claudia annoy me so much, him more than her. Absolutely shirked his responsibilities as a father and doesn't seem to care, just thinks he did the right thing 'I had a good childhood so I knew she would be fine with my parents'. She is clearly a product of an absent father who doesn't realise what they did, so I find it hard to blame her too much when she gets annoyed at him, but she is an adult now and needs to take responsibility for her behaviour now.
 
Does anyone know Claudia Insta.., was going to snoop for clues.
She does seem like a complete cow even to the other contestants not jusy her dad. The other teams in previous shows seemed much more bonded apart from Tony and Elaine. Though they pale in comparison to Claudia.

I think it's easier to say that when you're not doing the race, but I can imagine taking three long haul/overnight buses (for example) would take a toll mentally and you'd probably want to do something fun for a change.

I suppose it's a case of 'would I ever be back here?' and doing what you can whilst there.

I think they believed they were definitely still in the race at the start of the last episode. Especially with their 24 hour gap so they thought they had the time to go and nothing to do with the money at that point

It’s a reality tv program, a lot of it is engineered by the producers, from the route they take, the work they pick up and the pure fact they travel with at least one member of the production crew at all times.

I suspect it’s in their terms and conditions to visit a couple of attractions along the way, remember in series 1 when the women went miles out of their way to visit The Great Wall? It doesn’t make great telly if all we see is the back seat of other people’s cars.

That said Claudia is a spoilt brat and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was just simply a case of what she wants she gets, would have made more sense to spend a day working to prop up their budget!

I love Ladi and Monique - I hope they win! but I also really like Zainab and Mobeen. I think Zainab is misunderstood, I have a similar personality and demeanour and I know people see me differently at first. She has a tough exterior but underneath I think she's really genuine and they are obviously very in love which is SO nice to see. The way he talks about her - not rolling his eyes in that 'on no, the wife' kind of way - but in awe of her is beautiful. I find the two women just moany and a bit full on with all the 'you're awesome' type stuff. As for Kevin and Claudia, she's a spoilt brat who needs to stop blaming her parents divorce for her bad attitude, it happens to literally thousands of people and once you're an adult YOU make the choice to get over it and stop blaming your parents, it's childish. Kevin is awful though and totally ruins every good moment 'oooh look Niagra falls, right seen it? let's go' and I think the taxis are the equivalent of the weekend happy meal and trip to the zoo - just a band aid rather than fixing the problem.
