Should we read anything into the pairs that have been doing lots of interviews this week? Betty and James have done a few at the beginning too and Stephan and Viv have been on this week too... not heard the boys doing any...

This crossed my mind!! Will be really disappointing if that’s the reason.
 
Inews have wrote a article featuring rob and jen from series 2 that talks about what goes on behind the scenes. Each team has have two film crew, a medic and local fixer who stays close behind them. The teams must have at least one crew member with them all the time and can only travel if at least one crew member can travel with them. The teams make all the decisions and the crew have no input on the decisions they make.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but when they were all on This Morning Eugenie said they wanted/offered to share the cab but told they were not allowed, how true this is after the negative reaction, I don't know. It maybe the BBC trying to double back on their editing or trying to take the heat off E and I.
Just did a quick re-watch she actually starts with it was inconclusive whose taxi it was and as they couldn't share it was S and V or theirs.

I think people are blowing the whole taxi thing out of proportion. I don't think that eugenie and isabel meant to steal the taxi on purpose. I think that as they were so focused on the race that they assumed the taxi was theirs and got in it without thinking that it could be the other teams taxi. The taxi driver also didn't help the situation as he didn't seem to know who he was meant to be picking up. It also seems like it was edited in a way to stir up drama and this was evident when they labelled the taxi stolen taxi.

I can believe they are told not to share actually.

Also I would guess they are told to ‘race’ for when they get near the checkpoint even when it literally won’t make any difference to be a few mins apart. (Except the stage where the 5th couple is eliminated but they get told that in advance).
