Overrated TV shows

All Soaps ( I have given up watching them over 10 years ago, so much more time on my hands)

All Reality shows (Remember when they Never had a sob story to accompany them or a plot line.... they were better... sorry you can’t sing.... next)

special mention to Made in Chelsea.... can’t figure that out

Big Bang theory, etc

Great shows.. Chernobyl, Sons of Anarchy, Yellowstone.....The Good Fight for the quirkinesses

"Peaker Blinders"

Really enjoyed the relatively low-key first couple of series, but after that it just went overboard with the storylines, and by series 5 I couldn't be bothered with it. Seems to exist on its earlier well-founded reputation

Agree completely. Loved the first 2 seasons then it just sort of became too over the top. I was excited for the most recent season because of the whole billy boys thing as I’m from Glasgow and thought it would be interesting. Turned out to be the biggest cringe fest I’ve ever seen and not one of them had a Glaswegian accent 😂

Friends and Sex and the City haven't aged well. I was a teenager in the 90s, watched both and loved both so I do enjoy watching them on occasion now but I don't get the fascination people have for them now.

Gavin and Stacey I also love but I started watching it from the very first episode before all the hype so I think that helps. The first Christmas special is one of my favourite things to watch when I want cheered up. James Corden is definitely a love or hate guy and I love him, and especially as Smithy.

I do cringe at some parts of Derry Girls but on the whole I find it really funny. Maybe it's the growing up in the 90s aspect again as lots of it is very familiar.

Like many others, I HATED Normal People. Never read the book so I don't know how similar it was but it was achingly cringey watching it. I know the whole point was the awkwardness and lack of communication but I couldn't stomach it. I struggled through several episodes fuelled by desire for Paul Mescal but even he couldn't save it for me!

Fleabag, I've watched an episode of and it was ok but I don't think I'd bother going back to watch any more.

yeh I don't atall get how so many people seemto be watching friends for the first time now. there is so much else put there! the normal people book is the same as the show imo. I struggled through it as everyone raved. wish Ihadn't h

I liked TNG, Voyager and DS9, anything made after that, forget it.
I was too young to appreciate TNG (although the only highlights from that show involved the Borg & Picard).
Voyager could have been very good but failed to live up to the early promise of something fresh and turned into a soap opera.
Enterprise started off well but drifted;
Discovery: awful.
Picard: oh dear!

I tried "Enterprise" but it was too shiny and modern considering it was ment to be set before Kirk and Spock so that was a no for me.
Didn't even bother with Discovery or Picard.

I was quite excited when TNG came, I had a few doubts but after the "Naked Now" based on a TOS "The Naked Time" I was happy.
That episode had to be done, linking the old with the new and only doing it once.
