Overrated TV shows

Game of thrones - Watched it. Was ok and stuff. I loved the Stark sisters. Don't think it deserved the hype though.

Stranger things- kids are crazy talented and I'm sure they'll go onto to great things in future but the show itself is tit.

The Walking Dead. People used to bang on about this to me, but I refused to watch it as I'm not interested in zombies getting their heads blown off. I was assured it wasn't like that at all so I gave it a go. It was exactly as I'd predicted 😴

The Wire. Honestly, me and my husband really made an effort with this one. Based on what we DO like, we should have loved this show, but we just could not get into it at all. Total Emperor's new clothes. We watched three series to no avail. We then tried again 5 years later to see if it clicked but it just didn't.

Stranger Things. Love the 80s and Winona, and I did kind of enjoy S1 but had no desire to go any further with it, so I left it there.

Normal People; so boring, can’t believe I actually got though it all. Wanted to give both their heads a wobble. 🙄
Peaky Blinders; tried a couple of times, just couldn’t see the appeal.
Reality TV shows like Love Island, Kardashians, TOWIE, Big Brother etc; just complete trash imo.
Gavin and Stacey; overhyped. I can’t stand James Cordon either.
Friends; used to enjoy the earlier seasons, but after a certain point the characters just became really hyper-aggressive stereotypes of themselves and the jokes were just not funny. Don’t get me started on the canned laughter.
Hollyoaks; I know it’s a soap and they’re all to be taken with a pinch of salt, but it’s just one of the more unrealistic ones around. There’s always a serial killer on the loose, why do people still live there?!

Normal People - if you criticize it here you're mad! But I thought it had some of the most wooden acting ever. And that guy in not cute. Also the the cringe factor with Irish people and a pair of shorts. Brutal show.

All the reality nonsense. Don't understand it?

Game of Thrones - Saw 20 mins, fantasy and dragons...not my cup of tea.

Father Ted - a few funny moments but overall crap.

The Simpsons/Family Guy/South Park

The Fall

Stranger Things

Doctor Who

Brooklyn Nine Nine

Im going to say Friends  Ive seen a few episodes and it is ok but nothing to scream and shout about.
totally agree, especially now I don't get how people are watching it for the first time, it has not aged well. Anything with canned laughter drives me mad. Not sure if anyone has said it, but Game of Thrones, I saw half an episode and gave up

totally agree about Normal People, I had to struggle through the book as well as my friends all raved about it... I then watched a couple of episodes of the show just to see how they had interpreted it but hated that too

Those artsy-fartsy Scandi crime drama they peddle on BBC Four. I refuse to believe people actually watch them.

Im one of those 😂 The Killing and The Bridge in particular are utterly fantastic. Truly. But I get it that it’s not everyones thing. It’s a shame to miss out though purely on the basis of it being foreign. I’m not trying to convince you but they are anything but artsy farsty. They’re as good as our best crime dramas just with subs lol

The Bridge is one of the best things I've ever watched ❤️ Saga is iconic. We still say 'totally Rasmus'd that up' when someone does something stupid 😂
