Overrated TV shows

The Stranger on Netflix- which everyone absolutely raved about around the start of lockdown. I thought it was awfully acted, awfully written, and just utterly ridiculous. Plus the really cringe intro song. There's another Harlen Coben one on Netflix called Safe which was equally as bad so I don't know why I thought The Stranger might be better. No idea why people loved it.

Killing Eve- only watched series 1, it was mildly entertaining and I loved Villanelles outfits lol but other than that I don't see what the huge fuss was all about.

Peaky Blinders- I absolutely loved the first 2 or 3 series but after that it became a victim of its own success I think. Way too stylised and just silly.

Family Guy- just plain irritating.

Mrs Brown's Boys- what the duck even is this pile of shite! Definitely a contender for the worst 'comedy' ever.

Also not a fan of shows like One Born Every Minute and 24 Hours in A&E etc. I get they are in some aspects educational perhaps but I feel like it's such an invasion of privacy to watch such emotional scenes (yes I know they have consented but still) and I don't get why this is entertainment.

I second peaky blinders! My boyfriend really wants me to get into for some reason but I just can’t, think we tried it 4 times and I never made it past the second episode because I just kept falling asleep
 
I think what ruins it for a lot of shows is the need for a second or third series. Broadchurch for example, S1 was amazing and it should have been left there. It’s knowing when to leave it. The Walking Dead was really good but it’s soooooo dragged out now (still reeling over Glenn & Abraham 😢) Finish on a high.

For me the only series that has got better each time was The Tunnel - S3 was the best, I binged it all in one sitting.

KUWTK, Love Island, TOWIE, MIC - any of that reality shite
Big Bang Theory-so annoying and not remotely funny.
One Born Every Minute - never understood why you’d want to be filmed giving birth. Exhibitionists!
24 Hours in A&E - soooo depressing
Call the midwife, yawn
The Walking Dead - watched 5 mins which was enough, absolutely grotesque
