I’ve just seen Amazon prime have made Nine Perfect Strangers into a mini series! I’ve read the book and enjoyed it so about to give this a go.

I do like it when they turn books into series (Firefly Lane, Big Little Lies, Little fires everywhere etc etc) so looking forward to this.

Nicole Kidman is in this (she seems to love these kind of series!) and Melissa McCarthy.

I couldn't make it past episode 3 ...

Nicole's accent switches between Russian and goodness knows what quite often, plus her acting is quite wooden; I'm not a fan of melissa (seems to play the same character over and over); and Samara Weaving's lips are just awful. The whole thing was a snoozefest
The book sounded way better.

I liked it so far! I also loved big little lies and little fires everywhere. I'm up to episode 3, the other episodes haven't been released yet (for me anyway UK) but I'm looking forward to it, also Melissa McCarthy's really good in it I love her
 
I’m up to episode 3, not sure when they get released? I’m enjoying so far! Nice to watch something a bit different. I’ve read the book and to be honest I barely remember what happens!
 
Going to start watching this tonight, I really enjoyed the book, as bonkers as it was.

@1001 others I’ve seen white lotus advertised, looks right up my street but can’t remember where it’s available to watch? Is it just on Sky?
 
On episode 2.

I just don’t like Nicole Kidman. Going to try and stick with it though as I’m terrible for stopping series’ midway through 🤦‍♀️

Eh the grave digging thing is a bit much IMO 🤨 making a family who have lost a son lay in graves they’ve dug and have dirt thrown on them.

Safe to say I’m not going on a retreat 🤣

I read the book last year and enjoyed it even though it is bonkers….
I’m trying to get on with the TV show but it’s not clicking for me. I find it slow paced and quite boring… plus all the things they’ve added to spice it up just bog it all down rather than the opposite. It’s all spelled out rather than layers being revealed like the book is.
 
I have just got to the end of this. Although no White Lotus I enjoyed it, there was a feeling of menace throughout and I really didn't know where it was going. Some good payback in the end but can understand those who bailed
