Guy Pearce wasn’t there the same day as Kylie, that’s why it looked weird. In the scene where he hugs her, you can see it’s just someone in a wig 😂

I read something today that was predicting Eastenders could be next
 
I also jumped on the bandwagon and watched the last episode. I was there from the beginning but dropped out many years ago.

I always preferred Mike and Jane to Charlene and Scott. I was definitely watching for the Mike/Jane reunion. Love Guy Pearce.


I haven't read all the threads but was there a reason Kylie didn't speak? I've seen everything from she was on voice rest to they'd have to pay her extra. 😁

It seemed a bit ridiculous that she didnt speak. She stuck out like a sore thumb. Surely she's rich enough to have cut her fee. I'd say Guy Pearce was more A list as an actor now and did a whole storyline. I haven't watched for years and years, so didnt know a lot of who was who, but really enjoyed it.

I think with streaming the days of watching a show and talking about it at school/work etc are sadly gone, and this is basically what soaps need. I watch TV still but I teach mainly 18- 30 year old and most of them have never owned, nor would ever imagine owning a TV

I gave up on it around 20 yrs ago. I was a BIG soap watcher then gradually peeled them off bit by bit. The Aussie ones went first (fool that I was!) then the rest followed until for about 8yrs I didn't watch any. Then came back to Neighbours last yr as was going through rewatching 80s clips and thought I would give present day a go. I was hooked as people will see by the amount of entries I made on this thread (sorry everyone. ). Ref EastEnders I read that they did a little scene about Neighbours going and Dr Karl turned up in London. He is hitting the ground running after Neighbours...Good for him..

Same here. She was only brought back for those people who haven't watched for years, who watched the last episode for 'nostalgia' 🙄
I liked the final, but those two should never have been in the final and ot should have been focused more on the amazing current cast.

It must be a bit gutting that you only come back to it a year ago and now it's ended.
It was so cheesy scene. I think of he was to do so soap here it would have to be Corrie or Emmerdale, he'd need a soap with humour. I know it's not Dr K on real life, but he seems quite a fun person.
I think he'd want to neighbours of they manage to bring it back. I've read it could be possible, smaller studio, smaller cast and crew, less off shoot locations and they be able to pay the actors less. I guess you can tell that I'm hopeful again 😂😭

Yes if she wasn't going to speak she should have just done a skit like some of the others on the zoom call, and Jadon could have come back and done a proper story. But yes, you're right they only had her come back as promo publicity to get back people who hadn't watched for years ( including me!)

Same here, I don't want to know.

Not neighbours related, but 5 bedrooms on BBC is worth a watch, if you watch or used to watch h&a, Stephen Peacock who played Brax is in it. I also recommend frayed on sky, the actress who played the wonderful Nanny Alice/Heather is in it. I loved Heather, one of my all time favourite characters, I loved her poisoning Sonya.

Is anyone going to start watching h&a? I stopped watching it after Brax and Ricky left.

Can’t stand h & a and I’m Aussie…there is so much better to watch….give some a go and Im sure you will enjoy them…

Jason should have just come back on his own, with Paul, Lucy and Glen around (plus Paul’s kids) it would have fitted, then he could have had a nice catch-up with Jane and Mike. The fact that Kylie had to be begged by Jason shows she wasn’t really up for it and I think it showed. A lot of other cast asked to come back, I loved how Holly and Natalie both said they owed a lot to neighbours and wanted to be part of the final episode.
