Is bizarre. Did 10 have the same rules as Channel 7? I know some left Home and Away because they were told they had to be vaccinated
I stopped watching H&a last year. Who left due to being anti vax?

I know the aus entry post covid was stricter than the uk so that’s maybe why some didn’t return. Though Would be
thought he still possible to a video message.

David liljana and serena were mentioned in the history book and I think by Harold.

i saw someone say Harley bonner quit h&a cause of anti vax. I thought he only just joined recently.

I thought it showed Scott viewing one of the houses up for sale?
No he ran out from Arron and David’s so think must’ve gone round the houses they know people at to find someone.

It seemed like Shane said he invited Scott and Charlene back before he found out Paul wasn’t going to New York.

Harley Bonner and Sam Frost. Harley wasn’t there for long, a couple of months. I liked Logan 😕

Aw that’s a shame I saw jasmine was leaving didn’t realise that’s why. Ironic given her character is a nurse.

Just watching the aus version of the finale and Lou is shown in the history book. Given the actor is 84 and sounds like has health issues meaning couldn’t return I think they did a fitting incorporation of him 🥰

I don't know who owns classic Neighbours but it would be great if someone could do what Itv do with coronation Street and emmerdale and start airing neighbours from the beginning.

I'm sure I'll get shot down for this but I have tried to watch neighbours on and off in recent years and I do find it a struggle, I just don't find the actors/characters as good and interesting as before. I thought it really showed last night with mix of old and current.
The most recent lot are great, I think they show up people like Kylie who can't act for toffee. Neighbours has been so good for a few years now, especially around end game time.

Amazon prime are showing the first 400 episodes of Home and Away, maybe they will pick up classic neighbours too? I'd love it if they, or another channel did.
I'd pay for Amazon for that.

I loved that Therese's solicitor was T Oliver. I think it goes to show how he great he was that he was so missed on the final.

The “missing” characters I can’t really explain. I know some actors have fallen out with the show and some have moved on so weren’t available at short notice but the lack of Timmins seemed odd (even if we’d just got stingray as a ghost). I’ve seen claims that people weren’t asked and other claims the call went out to everyone.

I think both is true, the call maybe went to everyone but they had to say no to many. I saw one of the crew say there were so many characters offering to come back that they just had to choose the ones that would fit with the storylines. If they had everyone who offered, they wouldn’t be able to flow as a story. Plus they were trying to get a good mix of all the eras. I don’t know why they chose Chris Pappas though, that was so random 😂

The things that have already been mentioned
Sky appearing
Beth saying hello to Ned
Karl telling Toadie he was their son
The ending credits on the Aus version was longer and had an aerial shot of the cast waving at the end
Probably some more I missed
The uk version had the aerial shot of them waving with “thanks for loving us we love you” 😭😭😭

I’ve just watched the oz version. There wasn’t anything missing of the amy but in the uk version.

I really honestly was kind of shocked, about the whole last few episodes, it's like to try to cram all the storylines in the last few episodes and it sort of spoilt it. And yes, I really loved Charlene and scott romance many years ago, I really loved their romance on and off the television and to see the way it was at the end has really spoiled it for me.

I get what you are saying.. I suppose in the end although they had a couple of months to draw things together in soap terms that is nothing. They had to work out a suitable ending, decide which storylines from the yr to keep and speed up and which to ditch. Then I think they had a nice dilemma in the fact that so many old cast wanted a part in the ending, so keeping the flow of the storylines going while bringing folk back could not have been easy. All that being said I do remember how rushed the baby story explanation was with Isla & Nicolette last yr. It was all tied up in an episode nearly, made my head spin! I do agree with you with Charlene and Scott. I said up thread that for me Kylie especially has spoilt the memory of Charlene a little bit which is sad 😟. I did watch Rebekah in an interview and she said she and Stefan were told "don't worry we will get you both back together before the end". Time went on and they kept thinking "they are leaving it a bit late!" So maybe there is a part of her that thinks the reunion was a bit rushed in the end. It must be so difficult to bring a soap to a suitable end, though and they did it a hundred times better than Brookside..

I think Kylie returning was originally supposed to be secret and that’s why she only had a few words to be left off the cast list as a surprise. (Same thing happened in the American Office with Steve Carell) But seeing as everyone knew it’s stupid they didn’t change it and let her speak.

I’m a bit 50/50 with Scott and Charlene.ove
That they came back and all the nods to their history. Mike seemed a delayed reaction to seeing them😂
Would’ve been good if they’d had more time and spoken more. A proper reunion scene like the others had ha drinks wouldbe
Been good.
But at the same time I like how much they were in it cause it made it about neighbours as a whole not just them. I did think they’re buying Chloe’s house so was waiting for that but the way they did it was good.

lot of past characters to fit in and give realistic stories etc to.But given the time and the number of people I think they did well.

im glad Terese and Paul were kept to the end to get back together.

i liked that they brought ned and yashvi back and showed they’re loved up.

the ghosts was an unexpected but brilliant touch.

The final word I thought was meant to be Susan but ended up being Karl “toad look out”.
I had wondered before I knew Susan got the last line I’d kylie’s “home sweet home” would be it and would be cause they bought Chloe’s house.

To be honest yes some of it was rushed. I can only assume they plotted to have Paul and Therese divorce before the show was axed, otherwise why bother if they’re just going to get back together in the last episode. Same with Amy choosing a donor for her baby. But I still think it was a good ending, far better than Brookside’s which was just plain weird.

Jason Donovan 😍 . I watched it on YouTube then loads of recommended old vids of him singing, and old neighbours clips I haven’t watched it for years m but still sad it’s gone

I jumped on the bandwagon to memory lane and watched the final week.
I’m 44 so Scott and Charlene were a huge part of playtime’s at junior school, the little tiffs who was playing Charlene 😂
I stopped watching Neighbours around 2002/3 as motherhood took over.
Nice to see so many comeback for the last week.

Question, who was the man on the tv towards the last scene?
Susan’s monologue was the perfect way to end things.
I’m keeping fingers crossed a tv channel starts from the beginning (like they do with classic Corrie and Eastenders)
