Most like thread title suggested by @sistersofpercy. Have some mumsnetty flowers💐

Hopefully we will make it through this thread without having to see another fanny, but it is mumsnet so who the duck knows anymore🤦‍♀️

In other news, the woman who dragged out her extremely boring, probably made up engagement on holiday has now made the bright move of posting where she's getting married and what date. Is she hoping her mumsnet fan club will turn up

Supposedly ’posh’ things you think are common *trigger warning this is light hearted*
Yet another sneery thread about ordinary things that bring people joy, but considered by Mumsnet to be lower class <tinkly laugh>
There are quite a few in there listing things MN think are "posh" haha which is getting them in a tizz.
Russell Group Universities
Waitrose/John Lewis
Private school
Holidaying in France
etc
etc

I just can't imagine having the headspace to around judging everything I and everyone else around me, do like that. They can't have very fulfilling lives to care about this stuff, can they? *head tilt*

I swear to god the woman we bought our house from was a MNer. She informed us of all the neighbours' professions, had her son (age 6) in a private school and made sniffy remarks about the local primary school (majority Muslim), went to great pains to point out a few other middle-class signifiers that I can't quite remember now because idgaf. They were moving to the 'posh' town 5 miles away where I imagine they fit in better. They were all for showing off their wealth in some ways, but couldn't be arsed to scrub the shower in the 8 years they lived here. Manky feckers.

I love the fact Mumsnetters consider all inclusive holidays to be lower class. This means my family's jaunts to the sunny bits of the world will never be sullied by Tarquin, Edmund and Felicia's parents, there will be no hoots, howls and honks of laughter, and I can eat all the UPF at the buffet without anyone looking down their pointy nose at me.

When we moved to our house 25 years ago, our (turned out to do proper socially spiralling knobs) said they were very relieved we moved in as a (whisper) <black> family had looked round. She was at pains to add 'we're not racist but they always have so many children...'.I genuinely did not know what to say. Also went on to have 3 more children ourselves 😂 Presumably that was ok though...

As the years went on, they got worse and worse, and finally left as 'We noticed that awful working class family move in at 94, and thought - it's gone downhill so much, we cant stay'.

They now live on a hideous tiny 'exclusive' estate in a village about 5 miles away. Awful awful people

The people we bought our house from made a point of telling us the family we were moving next to are (stage whisper) *black*. Still have no real explanation for why they felt they needed to tell us this apart from just being racist.

Anyone see the 'how to tell daughter her grandad is in prison' thread? OP reckoned her lovely, wouldn't harm a fly, saint of a dad got 12 years for self defence manslaughter with no previous convictions. Just as it got going with people calling her out, it's been removed for being a previously banned poster

Ahhh, the old middle-class mucky. It apparently doesn’t count as filth when the stained mugs are from Emma Bridgewater, the scruffy kids are in Boden and the dog hair is from a Labrador.

Someone posted on that posh/not posh thread about Labradors and Spaniels being posh. Well my dog is a cross of both so does that make me extra posh?* Or extra common because I've got a cross breed and if there's one thing mumsnetters hate more than their husbands it's cross breed dogs

*Aside from the fact he's an absolute twit of a dog, but I won't tell them that

Is it lower class if you go to IKOS - or is it only lower class if you’re doing TUI? Asking for someone counting down the days to the AI buffet (TUI).

I always read AI in terms of holidays as "artificial intelligence" and then it takes me about 5seconds to autocorrect it in my head.
However I think an AI buffet would have a robot waiter and that sounds very #posh to little old plebby me.

After reading that thread, I shall continue to dine out at Wetherspoons, go on Tui All Inclusive holidays, send my children to state schools and continue living in my ex council house by the sea, safe in the knowledge that I will never inadvertently make friends with a Mumsnetter. There will never be a thread about me on there, where I am described as toxic narcissistic friend A who may or may not fancy their DH.

I was too late to respond to @BlairWaldorf86 in the last thread, who said

I never understand people saying this on MN. Do bored teenagers really post made up tit on a parenting website to get their kicks? Wouldn’t they rather be on TikTok or out with their friends? 🥴

I'm involved in a lot of Zoom meetings for addiction/alcoholism - these are publicly listed so anyone can join, but we do get "zoom bombers" from time to time, and the frequency of this increases massively in line with school holidays. Personally at their age I was out shoplifting and getting pissed, but then maybe that's why I'm sat in addiction meetings now...
