Recap : Molly Mae has released her fashion line of over sized blazers; wide leg jeans and other boring pieces priced from £35 to £140

The media are having a field day - slating her for her clothes' labelling.......an XL being a size 12?????

Her website failed to describe the composition of fabrics used and laundry instructions - against EU laws on labelling - Molly Mae craftily removed labels from the pop up shop

Her clothes are made in China and Turkey - so categorically, massively marked up fast fashion

The Maebe website has been taken down due to the clothing selling out

That Louella does my head in, she’s also in Mollys IG comments asking her to send her a blazer 🤣🤣 absolute beg

It’s absolutely hilarious seeing the comments on her posts from her bootlickers saying that people shouldn’t complain about the prices because it’s high quality bla bla bla … how would they know it’s high quality ?! MM has NEVER shown a passion for sustainability yet they genuinely believe that she’s suddenly dropped a clothing line in which the clothes are actually worth the price they’re paying? “They’ll last years and years”, oh like the boohoo dress you’re wearing in your profile pic? Bffr.
her fanbase are not the clientele that values high quality statement pieces , her launching this brand is a cash grab from people who would buy her dirty socks if she put them on vinted. As long as it’s got her name on it they’ll get it - so of course she can sell at those prices because it’s going to sell regardless. I wish I could laugh react to comments on instagram, the fiat 500s really are delusional

I have to laugh at the comments saying “well Levi’s are £90 so what’s the difference?”

1) it’s Molly Maes first drop, not a reputable brand like Levi’s.

2) you can get your Levi’s altered for free in store to fit your measurements if you’re between sizes. So for £90 you can get custom size, high quality jeans. But Molly can’t even do hers by waist/leg length which the vast majority of women want.

thanks for the Levi’s tip, I didn’t know they did that. I’m under 5 feet tall and have hips and a bum and a bit of belly post kids so finding decent jeans that fit is next to impossible, will be checking out my nearest Levi’s now 😂

Molly can’t justify the prices on anything other than it being associated with her and even then she’s as famous around the globe as Alan Carr. Sorry but at least brands like Khy can justify it with the name attached, she’s only famous here

Neither did I until a few months ago when I tried some on and mentioned to the sales assistant how frustrating it was that one waist size felt too snug but the next size up was too big and I didn’t really want to wear a belt. She turned around and said “you do know we can alter those for nothing don’t you” 😂 I tell everyone I know now!!

I’m just baffled by this all..

First of all, none of the clothing is original and in all the TikTok’s from her pop up, her fiat 500 fans had literally turned up wearing that white poplin top she’s selling (it’s been making the rounds on TikTok shop and on PLT etc for a few months now) along with oversized grey blazers and baggy jeans.

Second of all, the lack of transparency and reluctance to label the materials of the garments she’s selling is WILD.

Thirdly.. the sizes?! Her brand is stating she’s 5”9 and wearing size 2XL jeans when that just simply isn’t accurate. Why all the lies and shadiness.. well we know why.

Can’t wrap my head around people spending their hard earned money (or bank of mummy & daddy) or money they don’t even have, on Molly Mae. The people buying her clothes are trend hoppers too just like she is and I don’t believe for a second that they’ll be wearing these items of clothing for 10-15 years like some of them are claiming in a bid to justify the reason for the cost etc. I guarantee the majority of Maebe clothes will end up being sold on Depop and in charity shops.

just come across this TT. the girls were stating that the model looked like a size 14/16 but she’s wearing a 2xl 💀 they were joking saying you’d buy them to try them on and then be booking your gastric band to turkey. The sizing are all wrong. Also said if she did klarna at least they could try them on and send them back. No one has got that much money just to try them on for the sizing to be whack

The video with the “old style” crackled video and her pretending to leave a message 🤢

Erm, she tries to say “I have an idea”, erm selling clothes isn’t an idea. She has no experience in making and producing clothes, people go to colleges and university to learn these skills. U don’t pick it up being just a face of some crappy drop shipping shop.
And how many times did she go turkey and china to review the factories?!

This reminds me of Tamara ecclestons business venture. They’ve got all this money and can go enjoy themselves and instead they decide to try start a brand and build it purely off their name and with no experience or knowledge in the area. Ultimately the reason they do this is so they can say “look I built a brand and made this money myself”.
It’s weird.
Or maybe it’s another excuse to not be with her child?

There’s more than enough clothes lines, there’s luxury brands who have been established for decades and employ seamstresses and understand how clothes fit together.

She probably can’t even name or pronounce most materials, or know anything about darts, hems, seams. Has she ever even visited a fashion museum? I’ve never seen anything of the sorts on her socials?

I feel like these blazers were spose to be fitted, she got them from china and they just were so poorly put together and massive and now they’re trying to pull it off, yeh it was spose to be like that, it’s fashion don’t ya know….
