I love my husband, we've been together 14 years and have 3 gorgeous children. Can't imagine my life without him. We where just 16 when we met.
But the children come first.
I agree you need a healthy marriage, a loving marriage, it all makes a loving and happy home and the kids aren't affected by any bitterness etc. Totally agree. And I agree we need our own time, away from the kids. Date nights etc. All that is a must.
But my children, the children we created? The children we chose to bring into this world? They come first. Their needs will always come first over my husbands and I'd only hope he'd say the same about me!!
Hell my kids come before myself and any of my own needs and wants.
My kids are my main priority. Doesn’t mean I dont adore and love every inch of my husband and our life together.

I'm not sure on Paul. I don't think I like him.

Totally!!! Omg I’ve actually never heard someone have his “hot take” before it’s so so weird… if he’d have to choose one persons needs over the other it’d be the grown adult you married and not the innocent children who never asked to be born and literally rely on their parents for everything ??? Super weird, can’t take anything he says seriously now

Re.Paul Brunson, I get his point but I think it's worded to be controversial. Make sure the marriage is strong as that will mean your kids are happy. I think most of us by default prioritise our kids when it matters which is how it should be.
